Anyone else notice the similar playing styles Between these 2 QBs, incredible ability to extend plays and the accuracy while throwing on the run.

Yep. The only two quarterbacks that we’ve seen throw the ball on the run and extend plays are joe burrow and pat mahomes

I say it every time I watch Mahomes play: Joe Burrow plays extremely similar to Pat Mahomes except that Mahomes has generational arm talent. A slightly lesser Pat Mahomes is not at all a bad place to start, and Joe might even be more cerebral, but that's yet to be seen at the pro level. Joe will have a great career if the Bengals can get him an OL.

no, they are actually not similar in style.

Burrow CAN extend plays and throw on the run but his a more pure pocket passer than Mahomes who seems to throw while running a lot more than Burrow. Mahomes is more comfortable throwing on the run than throwing from the pocket. Burrow is more comfortable throwing from the pocket than on the run.

Burrow was amazing this year and had the greatest season in the history of college football.

However can we not compare him to a Super Bowl MVP and NFL MVP?

We will see if he can play well in the NFL, but this year while watching NFL I have compared the QBs style of play to Burrow's, and I think you have to be optimistic about his chances to do well in the type of offense that is successful in the NFL today.

If he doesn't have a decent O-line, I hope his coach/coordinator is a genius to still buy him time to throw.

I do think Joe will be sacked on some plays that he would have escaped against college linemen, but that's true of anyone. It was just such a big part of Joe's game this year that there's some concern, I think.

Hopefully wherever Burrow lands he gets into a situation where he can do what he does best.
Mike Brown might be one of the worst owners in sports.
Maybe on a level with the Clippers old owner Donald Sterling.
Problem with NFL is you don't have the power to demand trades like in the NBA

Did you notice that Hill runs after he catches the ball, just like Justin Jefferson?

Burrow doesn't have near that elite arm strength. It's good enough, don't get me wrong, but Mahomes has a Favre-like missile launcher that can shoot missiles from any launch angle or body contortion.

Burrow is really similar to Mahomes athletically and with his ability to extend plays with his feet and keep his eyes downfield. So I'll agree with that part.

They both scramble a lot outside the pocket when they are forced outside the pocket, but Joe Burrow is significantly better at it than Mahomes. As he is significantly faster than Mahomes. Not only that, but Joe Burrow throws more accurately than Mahomes while on the run as well.

They’ll probably meet in the AFCCG next year, so we’ll see.

Pat Mahomes has been in the league 3 years and already has a Super Bowl so please tell me why you “can’t” compare a 23 year old QB that just made CFB history and will go down as the greatest season by a QB ever, against a 24 year old who has been in the league for only 3 years and just won a super bowl.... I’ll wait for some of you to get your head out your asses

I don't know, there were a few incompletions that Mahomes had that I thought, "Burrow would've made that throw."

I like the way Mahomes has a cannon arm but takes velocity off the ball when appropriate. Mahomes doesn't hit his receivers in stride as well as Burrow. It's amazing to watch a college QB that knows the skill and importance of hitting his receivers in stride.

I felt the same way but I believe that it had to do with KC running a very similar offense. After watching Mahomes win it I said to myself that Burrow could do that too if he gets on a team with enough talent and coaches who follow that scheme or philosophy
