We'd probably fall into the higher average of states, but unfortunately for the insured, the ins. companies in-house attorneys routinely get their arse kicked at trial.
I'm particularly pissed about this currently for personal reasons. A few years ago my wife bumped a guy in a F250 at a interstate on ramp in a Honda Accord. Did no damage to either vehicle. He got out and claimed his back hurt and got like 27k from our insurance company. I think people like that should be shot

Truly narcissistic.
Truly why LA is last in so many categories. Preaches the message of no education needed...as longs someone injures you.
Mike Foster wanted to do it then on a much different scale and plane...times were different.
Whoever our next governor is, if he is conservative? He will ban this. Capitalism and Free Enterprise can operate with MOSTLY individual decision-making. This is a case where regulation needs to be applied.

While it may be hard to determine what was the local station’s rates exactly, but you can look at the FCC’s public file and pull numbers during last year’s election cycle for a Saints games and get a good idea of what it costs.
For example, Fox 8 in New Orleans charged Eddie Rispone 12,500 for one spot for the Atlanta Game on 11/10. WGMB charged Eddie Rispone 14,500 for the same game.
A word of caution the numbers on the FCC website are documents posted by the stations themselves and also may list some agency discounts that may reduce the invoice cost to the ad buyer since most politicians do not buy directly from the TV station they get their consultants or consultant’s buyer to buy time.
Also, if you know something about political advertising on TV and radio, stations cannot raise rates just because there is an election cycle. They have to change what is called the lowest rate card which can be complex to understand.

People like Gordon have gotten rich on our 50k jury threshold law. It's the highest in the nation btw.
Should be $15,000 or less.
They can't people to show up for Jury Duty as it is, yeah lets quadruple the number of jury trials. .and pull 4 times as many people out of their work week for chump change...

His commercials make me cringe. For some reason he thinks people give a flying frick about his family and his beard. William Gee is still creepier.

We seem to have a lot of citizens with chronically bad luck who get injured multiple times throughout their lives.

Did he come to a complete stop or close to it?

I think 30 seconds of air time during the SB was $2.5M. But I noticed a few local commercials and was curious about this as well. Obviously a local commercial will cost less because its not reaching all the viewers of the SB. So maybe all then local affiliated stations are giving so much time for local ads.

I care but only because the commercial is so ridiculous and they crack me up. It's him sitting in his mansion talking about some 4 pound lap dog, it has nothing to do with insurance or lawyers. He just likes to see himself on TV and doesn't even try to hide it.

It’s almost like he is trying to match the script of “Duck Dynasty” but he has to pay to tell his family story through commercials.
