He catches a lot of shite as he is kind of the symbol of 80s cheese, but he did put out some really good albums.

It's cheesy but it is my favorite of his solo work outside of In the Air Tonight.

They had to film that video over months on tour. He was upset that he didn't always have the main shirt with him for continuity, but still came out pretty good.

It's sentimental and classic 80s schmaltz, but that was my time, my people and I still love that song.

The wife and I saw Phil at MSG this past year. Take Me Home was the last song of the evening. An excellent choice to end the show.

Invisible Touch seems pretty much like a Phil Collins album.

I saw Phil about 6 months ago. Amazing how great he still sounds live, despite how frail he is. He had to sit the entire show because of his back. Also, his 18 year old son is his drummer now and kills it. Kinda cool to see that

You like Phil Collins? Been a big Genesis fan, ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand, any of their work, too artsy, too intellectual .. It was on Duke, where, uh, Phil Collins presence became more apparent .. I think "Invisible Touch" is the group's undisputed masterpiece .. It's an epic meditation on intangibility .. at the same time it deepens and enriches the meaning of the proceeding three albums .. Christy, take off the robe .. listen the to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins, and Rutherford, you can practically hear every nuance of every instrument .. Sabrina, remove your dress .. in terms of lyrical craftsmanship and sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism .. Sabrina, why don't you dance a little .. take the lyrics to 'Land of Confusion", in this song Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority .. "In Too Deep", is the most moving pop song of the 1980s about monogamy and commitment .. the song is extremely uplifting, the lyrics are as positive and affirmative as, uh, anything I've heard in rock .. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your a-hole .. Phil Collins solo career, seems to be more commercial, and therefore more satisfying in a narrower way, especially songs like, 'In The Air Tonight' and, uh, 'Against All Odds' .. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it .. but I also think, Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and i stress the word, artist .. this is 'Susudeo', a great, great song, a personal favorite ..

Phil Collins is a phenomenal artist. Sure he wrote some take at face value pop tunes in the 80’s, but Genesis was a ridiculously talented band. Dude looked 45 and bald in mid 80’s and still pumped out hot after hit.

Yeah, big difference from when I saw him in 1990 or so and now. I didn't expect Phil to ever tour again, it was great to see him one more time. His son Nicholas was awesome.

My mom loved Phil Collins. But Seriously played in the car constantly in the 90s growing up. It wasn’t till I was older that i started listening to his Genesis work. Think I’d have to pick Something Happened on the Way to Heaven as my favorite from his solo career.

Misunderstanding- is the best lyrical told story of a guy who gets stood up and becomes a stalker. Interesting peak into the mind of a guy with low self esteem that ends up manifesting itself in increasingly crazy behavior.

Just a Job I Do- great story telling again. One killer going after another killer. Is the second killer going after the first killer a cop? A vigilante? A criminal rival? It’s up to the listener to decide.
