Dude, believe it or not, what coach O meant when he said that still hasn't come to fruition for him and this program yet. As scary as that may sound, he meant we comin' every damn season and will be competing for titles every damn season. We are going to kick their arse in recruiting, on the field, and everytime we see them! RTWFU! Orgerons view and dream/vision for LSUs program is awesome I promise you that. Not only is it awesome, but he knows he can truly make it happen here at LSU and make it a reality with all of the support, resources, and talent we have that's only going to increase as we continue to dominate. This ball is just beginning to start rolling and it's going to be a juggernaut once o gets this program fully established the way he meant for it to be. LSU has so much potential man. More potential than any other program in the country. LSU is just in a unique place geographically and has a unique circumstances that allow it to be absolutely dominant. Just watch. It's happening and we still comin' baby! Geaux Fightin' Tigahs!

Lots of folks will try to copy what we did.

They may try...but they will fail. There is only ONEJoe Burrow. And he played for LSU. Nothing will ever change that fact!

We trailed in the second half of a ball game once, and for less than 4 minutes.

And I wish I had understood how good we really were during the season and not until the end of the Clemson game. For me it is so intense that it gets hard to appreciate what you have while it is happening. I was witnessing greatness but didn't really realize it until it was over and I could breath again. Geaux Tigers! Geaux Eaux! 15 and Eaux.

I would bet there are folks in half the college football fan base willing to give their left nut for the season we had with a "one-hit wonder" QB and "lightning in a bottle" team !

Or "take a non-lethal gunshot to the thigh in exchange for a national championship" like these 4000 plus UGA fans LINK

I asked the same to 4-5 UGA alums at work and everyone said "Of course, without question !". And that was not just the guys

Even if this was a one hit wonder thing, it was the greatest one. I's think it was worth it. But I don't think O's done yet. He's shown he can put the pieces together.

Winning the national title with an undefeated season was amazing and fantastic, but ultimately believable- we've said for years that if we could get past Alabama, there would be no one else capable of beating us.
So, that accomplishment was more of "we finally did it".

What I still have trouble comprehending, is Joe Burrow's season.
His averages are insane:
27-35, 378 yds, 4 tds, with less than 1 int a game (less than 1 every 2 games actually).

Over 300 yds 13 times. Over 400 yds 4 times, including both playoff games.
5 or more passing TDs 6 times, including both playoff games.

His PLAYOFF average, in what should be the 2 biggest games of the year:
30-44, 478 yds, 6 tds, 0 int, 39.5 rushing yds with 1 TD.
A game.

It's been said before, but it's worth repeating: Joe Burrow did BETTER in real, live football games, than most people could do in Madden Football set to Easy level. And this occurred at LSU, where passing had been a disaster.

At some point in the offseason, it will sink in just how incredible that guy was. Right now, I think a lot of the love is still just "he was our QB". He was more than that, he truly was Greatest Ever.

Me and my buds in college could put up some really nasty numbers on NCAA (I'm old), even at the hardest levels.

I texted my old NCAA playing group during halftime of the OU game and said: OK, anyone remember putting up numbers like this on the PS with NCAA on the lowest setting? No one had. Some of us had 4-5 in a half, but not 7.

It will be a LONG time before this season is topped by anyone. I view this as CFB Karma for the Mulligan Bowl 8 years ago that ruined our first opportunity for a GOAT season. Although, that was more schedule and not offensive records. This was a combo of both.

It wasn't just the OU game, it was every single game of the year.

We'd play someone good, and it was like "oh, the other team has just scored a couple times. And hey, they just got a sack/incompletion. I wonder if we're in trouble?"
And then, first down to Jefferson, first down to Chase, Clyde runs for first down, TD to Marshall.
You can rotate the names as necessary, but that was basically the response to every single challenge the opponent mounted.
