Say what you want about New Orleans, but it is the perfect city to have a big football event because it is nearly impossible to make it "corporate" with Bourbon Street, relaxed open containers etc..

In basically no other city could you come close to replicating a scene like a 100+ member alumni band marching through downtown and the French Quarter randomly/organically playing at various stops, with thousands of people out in the street along the way, the night before the game.

That’s just one example of what makes the setup and atmosphere of New Orleans so great for such events - even with all its flaws.

Sure they had all the corporate shite going on, but there was all kind of random/organic/non-corporate directed shite going on all over the place as well.

Seems like most other places do a crap job of balancing that, or barely have any room for anything organic at all.
