Many can definitely be on the odd side.
On the other hand, the idea that humans have really evolved that much over the past 1,000 years is a farce as well.
Humanity is only about 9 meals away from chaos.

TBH that means Americans are about 120 meals away from chaos.
As long as people had water, the average American would probably become healthier in the first two months of a food shortage.
