Do you have a link for this?
Not questioning you, I know you’re much more well versed in this than me. I have just heard that there is still a pretty good hope for some type of heard immunity. Would some form of mutation be required for this to become a part of life?
Interested to learn more on this.

I’m talking about all the scientists including fauci that have said the virus will become endemic and seasonal like the flu

Of course more research needs to be done.
That’s essentially always true, isn’t it?
Yes, I read the study.
Yes I know it’s not a perfect correlate in terms of ages.
However, I think it’s very reasonable to infer that given that 60% of this cohort suffers some level of myocarditis, probably every age group suffers some measure of cardiac involvement, even if it’s not as high as 60%.
Even if it’s 20% that’s still huge in the context of a football team and overall football leagues.
You are too quick to run down anything and everything that doesn’t advance your sunshine pumping agenda

New York’s coronavirus death toll in nursing homes, already among the highest in the nation, could actually be a significant undercount. Unlike every other state with major outbreaks, New York only counts residents who died on nursing home property and not those who were transported to hospitals and died there.
That statistic that could add thousands to the state’s official care home death toll of just over 6,600. But so far the administration of Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo has refused to divulge the number, leading to speculation the state is manipulating the figures to make it appear it is doing a better than other states and to make a tragic situation less dire.
quote:
State health department surveys show 21,000 nursing home beds are lying empty this year, 13,000 more than expected — an increase of almost double the official state nursing home death tally. While some of that increase can be attributed to fewer new admissions and people pulling their loved ones out, it suggests that many others who aren’t there anymore died.

The study is also horrific. Here is a study done in a very that shows myocarditis in 69% of flu patients, AND MOST UNDER 18
So......

Additionally, 69% of patients who died due to an influenza B infection had some evidence of myocardial injury on autopsy report.5 However, most of these patients were younger than 18 years of age

Looks like you forgot to link the study.
Also, what word is "very" supposed to be?

Greek study about transmission in children by looking at family clusters.

There was no evidence of child-to-adult or child-to-child transmission.

Conclusions
While children become infected by SARS-CoV-2, they do not appear to transmit infection to others. Furthermore, children more frequently have an asymptomatic or mild course compared to adults.

Things that most people have gone through. It’s naive to assume a bout of covid Was the only cause.

I just don’t like when things are taken out of context.
Can you link any studies of cardiac diagnostics in the weeks after influenza infections?
The virus is real and it can be very dangerous and deadly for some but it’s not a “super” virus. It’s not doing things that other viruses don’t do.

Honest question, but what viruses are completely impervious to changing of seasons? I’m sure there are many, but of the main ones similar to COVID, I can’t think of any that don’t normally die down with the onset of hotter weather. COVID ain’t takin’ a break.
Posted on 8/11/20 at 7:27 pm to S1C EM
I wouldn’t say it’s completely impervious. We don’t know all the factors that are driving the virus right now.
And viruses never completely go away during other seasons. If you tested for flu year around you would find some flu cases.

Outside of the likely, Mardi Gras-induced spike here in Louisiana, which Sunbelt states had big outbreaks before June?
Seems like it is seasonal, just has an expanded zone of how flu behaves in the tropics.
Maybe the 35th parallel rather than the 30th.
Seems there’s some sort of seasonality based on how Europe and the Northeast behaved, and how other areas are firing off “now.”
(Hope-Simpson model stuff.)

I don’t think strep has a season

Assuming that is the case, why is that so important for college football but not the NBA, MLB, NFL, NASCAR, golf, or high school sports? All of these are playing to will be played to some degree in the coming months
It’s just odd to me that this heart condition stuff hasn’t been brought up until CFB and for THAT specifically it means they can’t play
And yes, I know a lot of the sports I listed are professional and the players get paid and I get that but at the same time a lot of the college players have said they want to play and anyone who doesn’t want to can choose to opt out without losing eligibility. And let’s also let’s face it, these college athletes getting to play will lead to them getting the opportunity to get paid in the NFL. Ask Joe burrow If he’s happier with the money he’s making after last season than he would been without last season. Ask Kyler Murray. As Baker Mayfield what he’d have made without his senior year, the examples are unending

For the NCAA it was the college presidents making the decision, and in the BigTen there is usually a love/hate relationship between the athletic department and the academic department.
typically the academic side does not appreciate “devaluing” their prestigious university by having to adopt a second set of standards and academic expectations for athletes. The presidents represent this side.
The AD’s would have voted to play, coaches as well.

But that information isn't all that new, according to the ACC doctor and others in the medical field. It was known for this, and it has been known for other viral infections.
This is the Conferences trying to cover their asses on the liability front, and maybe shut down the players from organizing a union...which still might happen because of this.

Multiple LSU players benefited greatly in the NFL Draft following last year's historic season.
Where would Clyde Edwards-Helaire have gone had 2019 not happened?
