My biggest takeaway from the game apart from Zion is that Lonzo wants to make Zion a great offensive force and he has the ability to be the anti-RJ Barrett. Zions biggest hurdle in college was RJ Barrett hogging the ball and ignoring Zion
Good point. I didnt catch it but apparently Al signaled for a timeout and Zo ignored it bc Zion was on fire. God we have so much to look forward to.
Also, how bad does it suck to be a Knicks fan? You tank and wind up with Andrew Wiggins 2.0. I'm not rooting against RJ at all, he's just not a game changer.

My takeaway is very few people can takeover a game like Zion just did. The fact that he did it in his very first game on a minutes restriction is incredible. Everyone knew he was winning us that game if he stayed in.
Also if teams now have to put a man on him on the arc because they fear his shooting, watch out. He will be able to do anything he wants because nobody can guard his speed and power once he makes that guy miss and drives to the basket.
This team will take a bit to realize what each player needs to do to become great. It may take into next season, so we should all be patient

my biggest takeaway is that i think it is very very very important for our coaching staff, and Lonzo/Jrue to find a healthy medium on who needs the ball at certain times between Zion and Ingram.
Ingram still needs to be the guy with the ball in his hands in the last 2-3 minutes of the game taking shots. He's turned into our closer, and that doesn't need to change just yet.
I'm interested in seeing how Zion and Ingram defer to each other, and which one decides when they should demand the ball. Their relationship on the court determines our future, and i'm very excited about our future.
and on a side note, i really like how Lonzo played last night, and i am very excited to see him be the one making the decisions on who should be getting the ball for the best advantage. I think something he's going to see more of is wide open lanes for layups, he just needs to finish at a high rate.
And Uncle Alroy can't play 12 guys a night. That's stupid. You can't play Frank 6 minutes and NAW 6 minutes. Pick one and play them 12 minutes, and pick NAW.
I'm much more interested in seeing Zion play with Melli and Hayes than Favors. Melli will give Zion more room to work with down low. When Hayes is in, he needs to be the guy setting the high pick and rolling to the goal hard to draw the defense in, and Zion needs to come right behind him for a dump off or to draw even more guys in for guys like Ingram/Lonzo/Hart/Moore/JJ to be wide open for a 3.

We won't be waiting 3 years for Zion to develop an outside shot. That alone moves up his development.

Frank must play like Kobe in practice because for some weird reason he’s always playing in crunch time
this is really good inference and a clever way to say it.

I know this really has nothing to do with the game itself but im pretty pissed off about how JVG and Jackson commentated on the game. Super unprofessional
Joel and #TheRealAD did a great job.

Yea I didnt turn it to espn at any point. Especially after I read that they were right off the bat calling him overweight and Jackson saying he would have taken Ja over him.
AD said before the game that we are witnessing history and you will for the rest of your life remember where you were when Zion debuted. Like it was 9/11 or something. For 40 minutes it was forgettable basketball. But the streak happened and I'm like, dang, AD might be right.
