It was only a matter of time before he started offering LSU commits.

Offering recruits is one thing... actually pulling them to Baylor over LSU is another.

Lots of coaches offer scholarships to LSU commits.
Saban, Kirby, Dabo, etc, etc, etc.

Once LSU has hired a new DC, Aranda offering some... or all of the recruits won't be that big of a deal.

Yes, he used his time at LSU to develop a relationship with them, but LSU's brand and Coach O are also very important pieces in getting top tier talent.

None of them actually got him to commit as a lead recruiter though. I think we’re safe here but don’t act like it’s insignificant.

Orgerons USC connections and being extremely close to Davis’ father is why he is committed to LSU. Not Aranda. His loyalty is to O and LSU, period. He’s not going anywhere it’s a non issue you all don’t know anything about anything ever. So move on.

To me this is not much of a deal. He has a right to offer anyone who is signing a year from now. I would be pissed off if he was trying to steal guys say in November if he had been coach then. Remember, Lane Kiffin and even Orgeron caught big time flak when they moved from TN to USC before NSD and were dialing up all the TN verbals. I'm probably one of the least Aranda disciples here...I think he was massively overrated and overpaid but I have 0 problem with this. IF LSU loses that 2021 verbal, I would bet it wouldn't be to Baylor...least of their worries.

I understand that, but we’re talking about the improbable task of flipping an elite Cali recruit from the national champions to...Baylor. And without an Elias Ricks getting in his ear

Aranda showing a ton of ambition though. I can respect that
