OBJ was being a moron. Other than that, this has all been a big overreaction. Why can't ppl enjoy themselves after they accomplish something. Friggin smart phones and social media makes it a lot damn harder to have some fun these days. Jeez.

They won't. I've asked several times in this thread for those complaining that our players were over-the-top, immature, etc. However, I've not had one response in regards to that. And I know they aren't going to seriously try to mention the cigar thing because that is done all the time by players.

he did, but the problem is that kirk tried to take that and hold it against LSU as a whole. don’t shite on the LSU football team because one former player chose to act like an idiot. if you want to call him out individually then fine, but don’t try to take away from what the team just accomplished. the team was about their business from day 1, and they were right to carry themselves with confidence all year. herbstreit tried to shite on the whole football program for the act of 1 individual, which is complete bullshite. none of this will have any effect on our football team moving forward and for him to imply that is moronic. frick herbstreit and anyone defending his arse

I don't think he was saying it against LSU as a whole. The team deserved to celebrate, no question.

It's easy to misinterpret what he meant but he's been touting LSU the entire season.


I have no problem with what he said. He's right.


Bottom line is he says none of this if OBJ doesn't act like an idiot. AGAIN.

Herbie sometimes shows his bias at times but this wasn't one of those times. He summed up what a majority of LSU fans also think.

He says none of what you posted if OBJ would've just acted normal but since he's gone pro, he's acted like a loose cannon. It's because of OBJ's actions, not anyone on the team, that has brought this to light. So if you want to be pissed at someone, be pissed at OBJ for starting this whole ordeal in the first place. None of this is even being talked about if OBJ wasn't there trying to put himself in the spotlight again. I'm really starting to think there's some mental issue with the guy. He knew darn well that stuff doesn't fly with student athletes yet here he is doing it.

Thanks to him, instead of celebrating what could very well be one of the most incredible college football seasons in history, we have this to focus on. Thanks Odell.
