"Herbie is just pissed we beat his twin son’s team Clemson and still pissed about the 07 Natty against Ohio State. LSU did nothing wrong they deserve the celebration. Overreacting and jealousy by Herbie"

This. Herbie upset cause his sons that play for Clemson were feeling totally butthurt

I agree, though I don't think it's not caring more as not thinking.

I actually totally agree with this. If you truly care, no, you don't fricking say that. Makes me question Burrow's sincerity about LSU.

Herbie was spot on everything he said

bullshite. If he didn't like what Burrow said, that's fair. But to bring Bama and Clemson into the conversation acting like Saban is worried about optics or acting like Clemson doesn't have their issues is completely disingenuous.

Clemson had four players suspended for the title game last year due to PEDS and two were suspended for the year. Dabo defended them and then said Clemson may have "unknowingly" gave them the PEDS. But did they expand their in-house drug testing to avoid future issues with random NCAA drug tests? No.

Please see my posts above on Saban. All he cares about is winning. He didn't even suspend Cam Robinson and Hootie Jones for a half when they were arrested with weed and unregistered guns (never good). He keeps his punishments secret, let's players get away with all kinds of stuff, etc. And there is a reason why people from schools all over joke about the Dodge Chargers and the cash with Bama players - all the different pictures with Bama players involving those things aren't exactly great optics.

I don't think what Burrow said was because he doesn't care about the program. He was drunk and I don't think he took the time to think before he spoke.

After everything the guy has done and said, now you are questioning his sincerity about LSU? bullshite.

I think he's wrong on Odell. I want Probowlers on the sideline.

He's right about Joe Burrow. That was a selfish response

He doesn't have a problem with the program. He has a problem with the NCAA coming down so hard on athletes with not being able to benefit from certain things due to their connection to college football while the NCAA makes hundreds of millions off of them. He made comments about that kind of stuff going back to Ohio State. It was more of a dig at the NCAA.

Credit TLaw for that. Without him they would return a Top 8 team. As far as Bama. Thy are stacked with talent and it's next man up. We are losing a ton and I don't expect to win a natty with a 1st year QB but we will dang sure beat some arse next year and beating Bama's arse is not outside the equation. I do agree the celebrations were excessive if you're from the midwest but the game was played in NOLA and we are Kangs!

He isn’t completely wrong. LSU played with class all year. Found them to be quite respectful.

Instead of only focusing on one of the greatest teams of all time the actions of a few have people focusing on things that aren’t important.

It wasn’t LSU or the program. Just stupid actions by a very few

I know most of you love Burrow so much that he can do know wrong in your eyes, but his behavior after their game and the couple of days after was selfish, childish and not that of a true leader. It was of a kid trying to basically say “Nanny nanny boo boo”.

Granted, there have been moments O has looked ridiculous in all of this, it’s been nothing compared to some of the players.

It’s the whole “Act like you expected to be there” mentality. What I saw was a bunch of kids that acted like the impossible happened.

He's right. Especially Burrow being a dumbass and saying it was real money without any consideration what they could do to the program.

Yeah, people are acting like he said it on ESPN or during the interview after on stage (which by the way was all class when he thanked trainers, chefs, dining room assistants, etc.). But no, let's focus on something he said on some podcast after no sleep and a night of partying the day after the game.

never once had a problem with herbstreit, but this pisses me off.

For as much as people love to hate Herbstreit when he says something bad about LSU, I tend to believe that he really speaks his mind and tries to be objective. He’s been really high on Burrow most of the year. Cody Worsham was on Hester’s show a week or two ago, talking about Herbstreit’s interview with Burrow on campus. Worsham said Burrow and Herbstreit talked about football for like 2 hours, and after the interview Herbstreit was blown away by Joe’s football IQ.

I don’t have the exact quote but it was something along the lines of “I’ve been covering college football for a long time, and I’ve never seen a guy that prepares like Joe. Not Cam Newton, not Andrew Luck, not Peyton Manning..”

I guess my point is that I don’t think Herbstreit is just trying to bash the program. The thing that really sucks is that we finish the best season we’ve ever had, and now it’s being overshadowed by negative shite left and right.
