"Bailing?" Shirley, you can't be serious.
When something happens like what just happened at LSU, everybody wants a piece of pie.

We could/should have scored 50 on both UGA and Clemson. Kirby's a bad defensive coach? How about Venables?
Can't make generalizations based on one game. Elko has a proven track record.

See if you can understand this:
- Record setting national champions
- Heisman trophy winner
- 50-7 bitch slap

LSU fans will deny this till the end, but this is a factor. Not the accent but the fact that there are head coaches more respected to work for.

Ed can just show them his trophy case if they have any doubts.
ETA I at least want to make Elko say no or make A&M pony up for him.

You guys can keep throwing out these names. It's going to be someone that's worked with O, so start with that list.

With that one trophy in it? The one they didn't compete for until they got a grad transfer QB and stumbled on Joe Brady?
It's like the trophy case on Kiffin's Krimson Korner.
Prior to this year, Ed's best work was going 6-2 with Lane Kiffin's team and losing to UCLA.

Like who? Lou Holtz, Jr. up in Ruston? Give me a break.

Ed has been head coach at 3 places.
One he failed.... Miserably. Like Chad Morris bad.
One he was so good they told him thanks but no thanks.
One he was falling into a Les Miles-ish pattern before he caught lightning in a bottle.
I fully expect the Miles pattern to resume.
What makes him less respectable than his peers is the fact that he's a mascot. A Muppet. A character. He's not an innovator, a strategist, an intellectual, a CEO, or anything else that draws respect from one's peers.
Hes perfect for Louisiana because we're like America's mascot. Nobody takes us serious but we sure are a lot of fun.

Elko isn't going to LSU - sorry. LSU is not a coaching destination either - as seen by the entire staff basically bailing
Our DC left to be HC at Baylor and our passing game coordinator left to be the OC of the Carolina Panthers. They didn’t bail dipshit, they advanced. I’m not saying Elko is coming here but what makes you think that Texas A&M is his final destination? If his motive is money then maybe. Do you think he would get more exposure at Texas A&M or LSU? What is the higher profile job currently? Enlighten us

As much as I'd like to agree with you, I can't. LSU is a destination job for people who just want to be coordinators. That's didn't apply to Brady or Aranda.
But so is A&M in that respect. When you make $2 million, does it matter which team in the SEC West you coach for?
Like I said, A&M was young this year and has had two very good recruiting classes in a row. Unless he got a substantial raise out of it (not likely), there's no reason to trade his job for that one.

LSU is so despised as a destination just about every HC who has won the NC recently has been from LSU except Dabo you fricking idiot.
Would you like LSU to compare their coaching tree the past 20 years to the checkered history of TAMU the past 20? I guarantee you'll find LSU coaches are way more successful than fAggies coming off the LSU coaching trees. Keep pinning that obsession of LSU up in your locker rooms I'm sure it helps with our recruiting.
Something TAMU doesn't seem to understand is you have to reinforce coaches with a strong culture and program behind them not just toss money around like it's nothing. There's no better evidence of this than LSU who has won 3 NC with 3 different head coaches. There are places you're destined for success and places you destined to hit the graveyard due to the program culture (Texas/TAMU).

Or you could just be the only power 5 university in your state. I dunno. Maybe.

I wonder if he’s kin to former LSU d-lineman Bill Elko.
