Kinda like you did with Aranda huh?

You can tell who is ready to jump all over him at the first sign of trouble

He and we will find out if he is a Saban/Belichick type coach or just a good coach who put it all together for a magical season.

It’s interesting that 2 days post championship, all the rats come scurrying out to say this kind of shite

LSU was in that "happy" medium with their previous coach. One who had some good years and then every once in awhile a great year.
No one wants to go back to being like Auburn/Georgia.

Hallman/Favre

ya unforunately for all of us that admitted we were wrong about the O hire youve got the beta males on here that would rather see a drop off so they could call him the Cajun Gene Chizik
i was critical of the O hire and still not a fan personally.
i have eaten my share of crow and am excited to see how we do next year.
will be rooting for LSU to have another great season.
not once have i ever pulled against LSU so we could replace a coach or so i could be "right" about a hire.

Saban relies on his assistants
Maybe now. But guys like Saban and Belichick made their names as head coaches winning with great defenses, which was their specific specialties.
I don’t consider Brian Billick a great coach. He was known as an offensive guy, but won a SB with an all time great defense, and terrible offense. If anything that team won in spite of him.
I just don’t think you can be on a Saban/Belichick level if the team is at its best with the head coach staying out of the way.

O has a job for life.
Change my mind.

Hell Joe Brady was a no name last year but Orgeron saw the talent and took a chance. We see how it worked out
Orgeron was away when the meeting at LSU with Brady took place. Steve O and 2 others told O about it and how thorough. O then called two buddies he knows and both said Brady would be a great hire and a fool not to hire him.

What are you so indignant about? You wanted Aranda gone, you got it. You should be thrilled.

Based on history and continuing stream of talent, I think we will have our pick of DC's. This is the best time to have to replace one, we just won a title, and we have at least one All American back there (Stingley).
Offense- much has been made of Brady's impact, and rightfully so. But I think he helped (profoundly!) in modernizing the playbook, something Ensminger now has.
And let's be honest- probably 75% of the offense was Burrow standing in the shotgun, deciding whether to hand off to CEH if the run is totally uncovered, or keep it and
A throw to 1 of 3 elite WRs in Chase, Jefferson or Marshall
B throw to his reliable TE Moss
C run if nobody is watching him and the line opens up.
And with Burrow's ability to read, that worked out dang well.
Brennan's now back there, still has Chase and Marshall, maybe Moss, and if Emery puts it together maybe a more explosive threat at RB. He's watched Burrow the past 2 years, I think he picked up on the drive and work ethic.

Right. Like, is he a failure if he isn’t as good as the best college and pro football coaches to ever live? That’s stupid.
All I ever wanted was for LSU talent to stop being wasted, and play a style of football that had them in contention with the other teams that had basically equal talent to LSU. Coach O, at least for a season, has done that. He’s earned my trust that he will keep looking to put the right coaches around him.

Not saying you, OP, just something I've noticed on here and Twitter since last night.
The "haters" concern was always whether or not Orgeron could routinely surround himself with great coordinators. He doesn't coach either side of the ball, so it was always a legitimate concern.

The good thing is that O has instant credibility to sell to up and coming coordinators
