I ran into Bo Pelini after mass in the summer of '08 in Destin Florida. So I know the guy I'll call him and report back shortly!

it would not surprise me in the least if Bo Pelini is the next DC at LSU
But you just posted this
Are you now saying it isn’t Kris Richard?

I'm with you on Bo. He wasn't necessarily a poor coach at Nebraska, but he is descending rather than ascending.
I like LSU being a hotspot for young coaches hoping to jump to a HC job or NFL Coordinator jobs. I know it means we lose coaches every 3-4 years, but it also means that we have a winning culture that the other programs want to be apart of..
Andy Avalos or Brad White are two names that might be a pit stop hire, but could really show what their worth.
I have never believed that O was a great coach, but he is an all-time great leader. He handles talent very well and puts them in places to succeed. I'd rather LSU keep developing coaches rather than be a designation for failed head coaches. (excluding O obviously)

I can't discuss names, but there is a clear frontrunner, and we have made the offer. Ball is in his court right now.

Bo Pelini actually makes a lot of sense. I'm sure Coach O and Bo have bonded over their previous coaching failures and what happened. It could be a great fit for building some long term stability for our coaching staff.

From Pelini’s perspective, source tells FootballScoop Bo would like to have assurances that his brother Carl would become head coach at Youngstown before making this move if possible.
Guys,
I am leaving your university for another position to better myself and my pocketbook. The only way this will occur is if you promise me to hire my brother as your head coach.

That makes no sense for the people at Youngstown. If I were the Youngstown AD I would say f**k it Bo, thanks for your service and let's move on. I would be more afraid of something like a request to hire his bro as a defensive assistant or so.

So a vague implication with, of course, an escape hatch for yourself. Lmao

Did Bo run a 3-4 when he was here?

No he ran a 4-3
That doesn't mean he's incapable of running a 3-4 but that's not what he ran in 07

No one kept LSU out of the end zone from 2005-2016 better than Les Miles. How could that not qualify him?

The good news for Bo is that the SEC no longer has stud QB's like Rick Clausen and Casey Dick. Those guys can crush championship dreams.

Is it Rich-ard, or Reee-Shard?

Isnt that like the absolute definition of a GREAT head coach?
