For the Hawaii Job:

HC is paid $600,000 he’s being paid $2,500,000 plus already under contract here. He’d have to move to Hawaii.

For The Baylor Job:

He doesn’t know Texas at all. At Baylor you aren’t getting the 5 stars that Texas has. Justin Fuente (Current VT HC) is a much better hire because he’s been a HC. Joey McGuire assistant currently there has the support of the players and knows Texas. Aranda also isn’t an elite recruiter.

He may well become a HC but I think he won’t this year.

The only way to find out is to do something.

Considering he isn’t on flight to DC with team, I’d say he’s good as gone.

We'll he is not going to get some upper echelon job so you have to start somewhere. He may even need to take a pay cut if that is what he wants to do. That being said, I keep hearing he does not like to recruit... how is that going to work as an HC in college?

I’m not saying Aranda can’t recruit but I don’t think he can sell kids on Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge etc. He sells you on how you’ll be used in the scheme. Slinger can actually tell you first hand what it’s like to play for LSU.

People on this board will believe literally ANYTHING, if it fits into what they hope happens. If Aranda is offered by Baylor, he is GONE.

Kids would care more about the bolded one. I also don't see what his knowledge of Texas matters at all.

He'll have no problem winning 9 games a year at Baylor, but he won't be able to overcome Oklahoma.

Wasn’t Baylor 1 win away from possibly being in the CFP? That’s a really good opportunity as a first time HC. I think he takes it.

I don’t know if Aranda will be a good head coach tbh. He seems like a really non-vocal guy.

He doesn't want to uproot his family...and he is paid very well.

But if he does...good for him.

Of course he would take it. I don’t think he gets offered.

Baylor is a private university like Notre Dame. They have the resources and funds to pay Aranda whatever he's seeking. Baylor paid Art Briles $15.1 million AFTER his dismissal. If Baylor wanta Aranda, he's their next coach. If he wasn't seriously considering Baylor, he's withdraw his name from consideration.
