Any of you fellas happen to have or know someone who has a 2020 Silverado or Sierra with the Duramax 3.0 I6 engine?

Definitely thinking this will be my next truck after school with the Texas Edition package. The Silverados are cheaper with more incentives than the Sierra.

Why?

Diesel fuel is basically the same price as premium gas and the mileage isn’t better.

If you’re towing a lot, then, yeah, go for it. If not...

I’m looking at them also. I have a 2015 ram eco diesel for work right now. It’s 2wd. I get around 25mpg on my trip to GA. It gets around 20 in town. It’s been a good truck. Not much maintenance, but it’s getting close to 200K on mileage, so I’m just looking for something newer. I’m just nervous on the first year on anything.

Better do a little research on that new diesel, it's all aluminum block and heads. Aluminum has never fared well with a high compression diesel engine.

Know that the 1500 with DMAX does not come with the Allison transmission
