While I was in court this morning, the city obtained a judgment against a weed candy van company. Old baw supposedly owed 130k in taxes from 2015-2019. Not sure how that was calculated, but the owner signed a repayment agreement consenting to the repayment.

He made a few payments then stopped. Court granted the judgment for the balance, and granted attorney's request to suspend all licenses to operate until its paid in full.

Our streets are a little safer now.

What was in it that made people think it was actually weed?

I'm sure that was just one of several "weed" vans. People deserve to be ripped off if they are stupid enough to buy from those

Maybe the public complaint made on this board earlier this week lit a fire under the city.

Meh....they refused to follow the same rules other businesses do. They don't get preferential treatment for selling weed flavored candy.

If anyone is looking for free entertainment. Friday mornings in CDC are always good.

Guy after the city was arguing sexual battery is just battery (he's right concerning torts). He made some uncomfortable comments while the Plaintiff was in the court.

Went to my next division and lawyers were yelling and alleging the other was a liar. Good times in Orleans Parish.

The lack of a license to operate will definitely impact them.

There's no shutting them down. They'll be back on the streets by Mardi Gras.

This. If you are stupid enough to think that the van in the OP is selling marijuana in a state where it's illegal, then you deserve to lose the money you give them. Their reviews are pretty funny though. Bunch of tourists complaining that it wasn't really weed, lol.
