If you paid for ESPN (cable, satellite, or streaming service) you would be using a different method of watching their program and you wouldn't have to settle for using their shitty app.
that's the stupidest thing I've heard. So you can't envision a scenario where the app is your only option??

In the situation you described in the OP, no.

If you want to start creating random scenarios where you are away from home and have no TV around, you would probably be using the service provider's app when you realized ESPN's app sucks.

Either way you are watching the game which is a pretty good reason to pay for the service over relying on someone else's login info and ESPN's shitty app.

I more than paid for my espn programming. Mine wasn't through the app though, mine was straight off their website. Still didn't work. It's not the app, it's their stream that feeds the app and website. This National Championship game is the main reason I went ahead and went back to the cord with comcast. I'm not chancing a thing since we're not able to be there live.
