I know a few Baton Rouge imbeciles that chose to attend schools like Millsaps, Ole Miss, and Birmingham-Southern that are, and always do, pull against LSU.

Instead of slack....maybe a little smack is in order. Get that boy straightened out.

If they didn’t go to LSU, why are they supposed to give a shite about LSU?

I think if Etienne would have just said Clemson is the best fit for me , thats where i choose to play, More people would at least support him as a player, i dont think I would EVER pull against LSU because of one local kid, but the fact is Etienne said”Im going play in the real Death Valley”. Like coach O said yesterday, he wouldn’t trade his backs for anyone!

I don't know anyone like this. Well, maybe Ryan Wilmore, but haven't spoken to him about this game specifically.

The ones that bother me are the guys who hate LSU just to be contrarian and basically pull for Louisiana kids to fail. Absurd.

In the 90s I had a buddy from Chackbay who hated LSU and was a huge Gators fan. That was back when Spurrier was kicking LSU’s the whole decade.

Don't worry. If Bama misses the playoffs again next year, they will be hitting the sports stores for a new team's gear.

To be fair, the same is true for lots of LSU fans. Before Saban, you saw just as many Miami or ND hats in Louisiana than you did LSU ones - - and lots more Southern and Granbling than you do now.

Nope. You just send Lt. Speirs in to handle it.

Have a neighbor down the street that has lived here about 20 years and is Clemson grad, oldest daughter is a freshman at LSU. He looks at his situation as no lose.

I live in Oklahoma and I've been here long enough to be considered a Native Oklahoman, if 31 years counts.

And I detest OU. I pull for whatever team they're playing 100% of the time. shite, I rooted for both Florida and Alabama against them ffs.

Sometimes homerism just rubs certain people the wrong way. At 10 years old I was already way past being tired of the Sooner bloviating and pontification.

Oklahoma fans =/= LSU fans

I guess I would be classified as one except for the state of Texas. Live and raised in Texas but big LSU fan. Hate Texas but pulled for A&M until they joined the SEC still pull for TCU unless they were playing LSU. Became an LSU fan in early 90's when I sent my son to several Skip Bertman baseball camps. My son and grandsons are big LSU fans and can't stand Texas also. My dislike for Texas started when I went there for a visit because I wanted to go to college there. Found out how snobbish everyone was - end of story.

The difference is you actually have a story to tell.

Every time I've challenged any local Alabama fans to give me a reason, fricking crickets.

This tells me they are embarrassed by their reasons.

Because if you live in Louisiana your tax dollars go to support State schools. And if you're from Louisiana they represent your State, the State that born and raised you. How about a little fricking hometown pride? You think people in other States give a frick about you or your fandom as a Louisiana resident? Youre just another fake bandwagon fan to them if you root for their State schools with zero connection.

I didn't go to Southeastern, Northwestern State, Nicholls, McNeese, Etc but I root for all of them. They are all a reflection, on the national stage, of the people of our State and its culture and heritage.
