True, but you typically don’t see those guys playing for a “rival” next season.

i get that, but It's not often that happens in the NFL either to good players.

It's normally the washed up ones, or ones that suck.

If an NFL team has a good player, they're going to keep him around for a long time.

I see nothing wrong with this.
I also see College Football as this already.
Especially in the SEC and any other P5 conf

But also SO many games are just so lopsided it’s just boring as shite.

Also the Same 5-6 teams in the hunt are getting meh. At least LSU has some new blood for this year.

If LSU loses....I’m messed up till Wednesday
If Saints lose, I’m pissed for 10 minutes then I go cut the grass.

My favorite part in these threads is all the CFB fanboys talking about how every game matters while the P5 continues to play FCS schools

Oh yes, AU playing fricking Citadel will surely have tremendous impact on their season.

You can extend this to the P5 vs G5 as well. Even though the gap is smaller compared to P5 vs FCS, it's still absurd on average.
Just because losing a game has more significance does not mean the game is worth more.

Also just points to a team that can be great for the entire season, but come out flat for 1 game, lose by 2, and that's it. They're fricked. Season is now shot unless shite happens out of their hands

1-7 Atlanta beats the 7-1 Saints, and no one thumps their chest and says “ZOMG Saints suck” or “What an upset”. We say “Saints are still in the playoffs” and “It’s about time we played up to the NFL standard.” Nobody gives two shits.

What happens to Auburn when they lose to The Citadel? Then people start giving a shite.

yeah well if the Saints hadn't laid an egg that day perhaps they wouldn't have played yesterday.

Because the NFL teams are all actually talented similarly, even if one plays like trash for a week.

Yes, the extremely rare, nearly lottery type of odds it takes for a FCS school to beat a FBS school. Even 2012 AU didn't lose to any FCS schools, and still blew most of them out by absurd margins. Like I said, only losses are worth a shite in CFB. Wins only matter if the opponent is highly ranked.

Also NFL wins/losses significantly matter with respect to the playoffs due to home field etc. Even that loss to the Falcons was significant for the Saints.

Long story short, I'm not knocking anyone for preferring CFB. Preferences are just that after all, but preferring it to NFL because of the idea that the regular season matters more is just a joke

I truly like both about equally, but I give CFB the slight edge, because it’s on Saturday, and college games with all the traditions are more fun to go to.

CFB's entire season is a double elimination tournament. Much more suspense.

NFL and it isn’t close. To many cupcake games in college. Some Saturday’s you can’t find a game with 2 top 20 teams playing each other.
