re: A rational look at the Clemson Tigers - can we leave emotions out of this for a minute

Our defense vs. your offense: This is the Marquee match-up so let's start here. You guys have had a phenomenal year - setting records and scorching teams. And we won't try to stop you. We ARE going to slow you down. The question is by how much ?
I don't think that it is unreasonable to claim that Clemson has the best defense that you have faced this year. Competition adjusted statistics bear this out. So by how much can we slow y'all down?
Beyond Simmons we don't have a lot of flashy talent, but all of the guys are good and fast and they play complimentary football withing the scheme. This is where BV comes in. I think we can all agree that he is brilliant at scheming, exotic blitzing, and in game adjustments. So as a unit we are far more than the sum of our parts. OSU was convinced they had the talent edge all over the field & on paper & maybe they did. But they don't play the game on paper.
I think our DBs will come up in press and we will keep safeties over the top. Not only will this slow down your short passing game, but it will put a larger number of people in position to blitz the QB from all angles. It also frees the LBs up a bit to corral the run and the outlet pass to CEH. The other thing about our defense is that, as the field gets compressed (in the red zone) things get tighter and that frees up BV to do more things that Joe might not be expecting.
Now I know that you guys have absolute faith in your offense to overcome these things and rightfully so. But we are going to scheme and slant and grind to slow you down - to make you make mistakes - a penalty, a TFL, a turnover, a sack - something that will decrease tour chances of scoring a touchdown. And we are going to play that for 60 minutes and see if y'all can stand up to National Championship pressure without losing your focus.
On the other side - Our offense vs your defense. This is where it gets fun. I think you have some excellent players on your defense, but this offense is so varied and explosive that no matter what you take away, there is something else just waiting to be exploited. There are playmakers all over the field and just when you think you got it all covered, someone you never heard of takes advantage.
At the helm is the best QB in college football. And he is going to distribute the ball to whichever playmaker that has the best advantage. He's cool, and calm, and relentless, unless you piss him off. And then he's likely to take the game over by adding yet another weapon - his legs. So pick your poison - ETN, Tee, Ross, TL, Rogers, etc. With all of our formations and playmakers - and TL at the helm, we will find the way to score more points than y'all.
One last thing. We do this every year. We know how to prepare for this. We know about the energy, the pressure, the speed of the game. We know about having to dig down deeper than you thought you could and absolutely trusting your brothers to do the same. We are the Clemson Tigers and we are built for this.
Have a good game !!
How old are you? 13?

Well, I also said that you had not faced a defense like ours because it is #1.
How could you know this with the teams you've played?

Do you really not think that we will not hold y'all under your scoring average ?
I do not think you will hold us under our average. The only way yall will stay in this game is a scoring fest which would drive up the score.

Again with the emotions, y'all are quite the histrionic harpies. I didn't mean to upset you by suggesting that you might not win the National Championship. Sorry.

Whether unreasonable or not, its wrong. UGA was better overall and your D-Line cant sniff Aubie's jock straps.

the key is getting that pressure with the front 4. Go ahead and bring extra bodies... Burrow is completing 75% of his passes when under pressure. Our Biletnikoff winner will be running free and Joey will have the Moore award winning O-line protecting him.

Best red zone offense in the country

Didnt know Burrow had called "All time QB" for this game.
I thought you said you wanted to leave emotion out of this? Thats the kind of dumbass statement that throws everything you said, right down the drain.

Why cant you score 30 on any top 50 scoring defense you've faced?

OP says take emotion out of it, let's be rational.
Then proceeds to explain how no matter how good LSU is and how they have proven all year they cant be stopped on offense, Clemson cant be stopped and their defense will stop LSU, gives no chance of anything else happening.
Yea very rational and non emotional.

Because we have so many great players and we recognize that football is a team game - and that Natty Trophies are better than Heisman Trophies.

I read the same thing when we played Texas and Auburn and Florida and Alabama and Georgia and Oklahoma, etc. let’s see what happens when you meet Joe Burrow

I have never seen an opposing team's fanbase come to this board and say the same trill over and over and over again.

Sorry I stopped here. I see people saying this from Clemson. Have none of y’all watched any of our games? The avg. yards per attempt is 10.9 yards. That’s 1.6 yards more then Trevor Lawrence. But y’all don’t think Clemson has a short passing game. Jalen hurts is the only Qb with a high avg. per attempt. This is a dumb take and negates the rest of that paragraph.

What is one thing that Clemson has done this year that suggests they can beat LSU?

Well, we held them to less than half of their scoring average so there is that.
And then there are the defensive stats (adjusted for competition)

Looks like you forgot to take emotion out of your post.
Reality is that LSU's offense is historic. Not just really good like Clemson's....historic.
Burrow is a better QB right now than Trevor Lawrence. The stats prove this. The eye-test proves this. The competition faced this year and the performance against the toughest competition prove this.
Anything you believe Clemson's offense can do to LSU's defense, the same can be said about the other side.
Also, don't look for Clyde to be sliding out as an outlet pass, he will be motioned out wide and a LB (hopefully Simmons) will be matched up on him unless you go dime like AU and UGA did to keep a safety on the field to spy him. If you do that, you will realize the same thing that UGA did. You don't have a DL as good as AU's to pull it off.
Lastly, we don't have faith in our offense. We have confidence. Faith would insinuate a belief in something unseen. We've seen LSU's offense play in more hostile environments and against competition just as good if not better and still hang half-a-hundred.
LSU will come to play. Burrow and the offense will do what it's done for 14 straight games this year. The question is, what will Clemson's offense do? I expect LSU to try and take away Etienne, so the game will rest on Lawrence to keep pace with LSU. If he has any inconsistency like there was in the last game, Clemson is in trouble.
Should be a good one, but don't for a second pretend that LSU isn't as good or as talented on both sides of the ball.

Dude, you shut down wofford. And BC and the rest of that shitty conference. No wonder your stats look good on defense.
When you finally played your one game season you gave up 500 yards to a QB in a knee brace and a RB who broke his ankle at the start of the second half
