Keeping speeding ticket off driving record

Got one on Burbank by Winn Dixie when the speed limit drops from 55 to 45, it was late at night and I couldn’t see the cop until I was about 10 yards away.
What’s the best of keeping this off my record and preventing my insurance from going up?

go to the DA's office, offer to just pay it outright with the stipulation it not show up on your driving record.

How fast were you going baw?

Call the DA and see if you can have it changed to a non-moving violation.

They want the $$$ bottom line. If you haven't had a ticket in last 5 years they will do a diversion online course that you pay for. Call the DA's office.

Plead the 5th then use Article 894 to keep it off your record. That is, if 894 is still around.

You can usually keep it off your record if you go to driving school. I had to do that once.

They are such shady fricking crooks in that area. Hiding in the median behind the bushes clocking people.
God damn biblical tax collectors.
Same as sitting on the other side of the RR tracks going in to tigerland checking inspection stickers like they used to.

Clark County, Arkansas is the same way. I along with at least 6 people were pulled over when heading North on I-30 travelling at the speed of traffic. They had to have written over 100 speeding tickets that day.

Who gives a shite about a speeding ticket on your record? Is this going to ruin you because GoAuto goes up $3

quote:Just don't switch insurance companies. The run driving record/MVR reports when you try to buy a new policy, but most companies don't re-run them again often because the cost for those reports aren't cheap. Good chance your current insurer won't ever know about that ticket unless you tell them.

Do you have The General? You should be fine.

Got popped for 61 in a 45 this morning driving throughPearl River LA. Looks like here they keep it as a city violation and don’t turn in to insurance as long as you pay. Gonna cost me $225 for my lead foot...

call DA or go to court date. The judges are generally lenient assuming you act like a normal reasonable person and will knock it down to something else.

in my state we have attorneys that will take care of it. You pay them and they show up in court to "challenge" it or something and it gets dismissed if it is less than 15mph over speed limit. The attorney actually called me. Sounds like a sweet hustle. He has some intern calling people from court records and he just shows up says my client contests.

I got popped in hickville Arkansas for 58/45 going to cost me 230$ Court date is the 9th so I'm paying it and hoping that it doesn't hit my record since I haven't had a ticket in years. Hopefully with it being small town Arkansas (known for speed traps) they just want the money. Though when I called to inquire as to the cost, they told me the only way I could keep it off my record was to go to court. F that!
