I know it's a team sport and really every player is dependent on the guys around him but for me, hands down it's gotta be TB5 Teddy Bridgewater.
He came through in monumental fashion and his success in the single most important reason we are headed into the playoffs and not done for the year.

Davis. Defense stepped up with brees out, teddy just followed them and didn't f anything up

But you can potentially say the same about Thomas on offense.
OMVP: MT13
DMVP: Davis

Yeah I think it’s a shared MVP for Thomas and Davis with Cam not far behind with Brees.

I don’t think there’s a clear-cut MVP. Davis, MT, and Teddy are interchangeable as MVP. Gun to my head...MT.

It's Thomas
Hell, we won the division by more games than Teddy started, and Thomas balled out during that time. And that isn't taking anything away from Teddy, he did a fine job

Michael Thomas/Ram
Ram shutdown Watt, Khalil Mack, Bosa, and many others.

Not taking anything away from Thomas at all but if TB5 flops as Back up for 5 games are we still talking about Thomas's stats while on the outside of the playoffs looking in? I'd be willing to bet that if we went 0-5 or 1-4 through the period Brees was out the talking point would TB5 cost us the play offs and we need a backup QB that can be counted on for a couple of games.
It's all subjective and I see the points made for all mentioned. I'm just glad things turned out the way they did.

This post illustrates why MVP discussions are always contested, as one person's definition of "most valuable" differs from others.
Mike Thomas is clearly---like, not even close---the MVP of this team. The offense runs through him, almost as much as it does thru Brees; Teddy Time proved that, in a pinch, the offense can still function well enough to win versus quality opponents.
There's no way the Saints go 5-0 in a five game stretch without MT13.

TB5 Teddy Bridgewater.
1. The road win in Seattle W3 set the tone for the rest of the season (as did going 5-0)
2. 3 of his 5 wins came on the road, games we wouldn't even blink at if he lost em
3. Completed 70% of his passes as a starter, protected the football. Truly an awesome performance and we would not have been in position for a bye without him
Backup QBS simply do not come in and go 5-0, 70% comp, 9/2 TD/INT

Again, not being a doubting Thomas, but serious question. You say

Hypothetically, had TB5 went to Miami in the off season and SP rolled with Taysom Hill as primary back up with Thomas on the field what do you think the record would have been in the 5 game stretch when Brees was out?

Thomas and Davis are the two correct answers. Thomas overall MVP with each being their respective side’s one
