Any others like that? Smooth and light with a Cameroon wrap

Have you tried any CAO cigars? They make a specifically branded Cameroon label that’s great. The C2 is a Cameroon wrap as well. Affordable cigars around $10 per stick.

quote:

The CAO Cameroon’s complex flavors combine natural cedar essences with rich cocoa and enticing coffee bean aromas – sweet, spicy, bold, breathtaking. To top it off, this medium-bodied premium prides itself on a balanced draw and smooth burn through each and every puff.

And of course there’s the Arturo Fuente Don Carlos.

quote:

The Dominican aged long fillers and binder are held together by a lusciously dark African Cameroon wrapper. While cocoa and nuts resonate as the most dominant flavors, they’re complemented by a sweet cedar and a subtle spice. Simply put, this Arturo Fuente cigar delivers a nuanced complexity that only grows in richness with each faultless draw of these medium-full smokes.

I prefer the belicoso for both. Give them a try.

Smooth and light brings to mind a Perdomo Reserve Champagne, they are cheap enough on the monster cigar auctioneer site normally.

My Father Connecticut Robusto

quote:

First introduced in 2014, the My Father Connecticut Robusto is a response to the demand for a lighter, milder My Father cigar that doesn't sacrifice any of the flavor the prestigious brand is known for. Featuring a flawless Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper covering a Nicaraguan Corojo binder and a premium mix of Nicaraguan Criollo and Habano fillers, this mild/medium-bodied robusto lets off some of the strength found in its relatives and provides a smooth and creamy smoke

Next time you make an international connection hit up a duty free shop, a box of 25 half coronas usually runs around 80-100 bucks, the petit coronas run around 150 a box of 25, neither are what I would consider really expensive compared to their cousins.

I don't know about that. The place where I get mine has them for $120 for a 5 pack.

You are shopping in the wrong place, my prices are spot on for Exquisite in AMS and most duty free shops I have seen are within a few bucks.

ETA: a quick search shows plenty of online vendors in that price range, never dealt with any of them though.

Let’s say I don’t take too many international flights. How can I get my hands on a Cuban?

Tonight’s cigar: another Gurkha 18 yr cellar reserve. This cigar is my unicorn. I’m going to be depressed when I can’t find it anymore

There are at least a dozen Habanos SA (official dealers of Cuban government) distributer sites that ship into the USA, a quick online search will turn them up for you, as long as you stay with an official vendor you should have no issues with counterfits, customs likely intercepts less than 5% of the shipments.

I rested in Cuba and at the same time decided to buy the good cigars that I found at Villanes Farm. Having prepared in advance, I bought a compact leather cigarette case, which is very convenient to travel with, in more detail here https://smokeprofy.com/reviews/best-leather-cigar-cases/

I bought hundreds of cigars this way for years without an issue. The last time I did this in 2012, I received 50 of the 100 smokes I had ordered, shipper said all were shipped. Then I got a nasty 10 page letter from the Feds asking me if I wanted to contest the seizure and advising me of the $10K fine I could face. Easy choice to make considering these were cheap short fillers this time and not Siglos.

Some vendors will repackage (preferred method) the cigars in a non-descript box with the rings removed & in a different package, and separately ship the original box with the rings.

It was good while it lasted
