I think they are saying this to make OU prepare. I seriously doubt he does.

He should sit. O said he was still sore and didn't know if he could cut yet.

I still see him more as a decoy in short yardage than I do a RB during the game.

No he’s not, he’ll dress and come in if we need him in a tight game. Which it won’t be

I don't think they would play him if they thought it could risk more permanent injury. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if LSU uses him as somewhat of a decoy more than anything. He's a matchup problem and forces defenses to respect his ability as a "WR" when he lines up in that spot. The other RB's aren't going to garner that respect.

Smart Gamesmanship : send mixed messaging until kickoff ... E says he will play. O saying he probably won’t.
I like it. Don’t understand why more coaches don’t take advantage of this type of fog of war

That’s what he said before Clyde practiced yesterday or today. Obviously they either saw something at practice that shows CEH is ready or will be ready or else they want OU to prepare as though Clyde will play.
Given our depth I trust the staff to make the correct call on playing him.

I believe if the team doctor looks at x-rays or whatever they look at and says it looks good then they should go to the player and ask him how he feels and if he feels ready then I say let him play.

Didnt O give that comment today?

I just don't understand how OU would prepare any differently. If Clyde is not playing would they not cover the back out the backfield? I can understand that they would call a different game, but that's not something that requires a lot of preparation. Plus at this point, the preparation is complete.
The DC for OK might try more confusing pass rushing stunts that Helaire would pick up but perhaps another back would miss, but he'll do that when he sees Clyde is not in the game. It doesn't require preparation.
I take Ensminger at his word, and I expect Clyde to take the first offensive snap.

It’s the day before the game no more preparing! So no need for him to say that. He said CEH will pay but probably won’t be much!

He hasn't practiced at all. I seriously doubt he's going to play. He may be dressed for emergency, but it would be very unusual for a player to play without logging a single practice.

100/1 says he’s pulling your gullible leg.
