And at primetime theyd have reruns of CSI....
I genuinely dont understand that network.
Its like they were stubborn just like Les Miles and didnt want to evolve with the times.

All eyes are on 2:30 game with no competition.

Looks like this will not be an issue for much longer

Like their direct network competitors NBC & ABC, they see the Saturday night slot as more important for reaching a bigger audience than CFB fans only.
When was the last time you saw NBC put their beloved ND in a prime time Saturday night slot?
The broadcast networks have to appeal to those that could care less about CFB.

Friday and Saturday prime time is not like Sunday through Thursday. A lot of people that buy shite—the ones the advertisers cater to—are out and about on Friday and Saturday nights, not sitting at home watching tv.

They probably get better ratings with CSI. College football is insanely popular in the south. It's a niche sport everywhere else.

Bama/LSU had the largest ratings of the year in college football, even with a 2:30 time slot.

Saturday night has traditionally been a grave yard, worst ratings of the week. Outside of LSU and a couple of other schools, most college games were played during the day. The move to prime time network games is a relatively recent development. You will not the most watched game this year was at 230.
If you step out of the LSU bubble, all but a couple of schools always played during the day. Michigan didn't even ave lights until not that long ago.

LSU is one of if not the only schools in the country that care so deeply about playing at night. It’s why “Saturday Night in Tiger Stadium” is such a great and unique tradition. If everyone felt the same way it wouldn’t be as big of a deal.

Because it's after folks do their chores, shopping, etc and before they go out to dinner. Trust me, "they've" got it figured out.

Because the 2nd half doesn’t start til prime time

2:30pm is the peak time for college football consumption.

I honestly don’t care about the start times. Just shorten the games from 4.5 damn hours!!!!
2:30-7 is ridiculous.

NY and CA don't give a crap about college football.
