I know. That's stupid geographically. But it would be good for both schools. The BEC would get another powerhouse program, Gonzaga is a Catholic school, and Gonzaga would get more visibility from January to early March when they only play conference games on the West Coast.

No. It'd be impossible momentarily because of the travel. Also, it's not like Gonzaga doesn't get visibility even when they play crappy WCC teams.

Gonzaga plays pretty much every single game on TV already. They don't really need more exposure.

no, we would get in before Gonzaga.

SLU and Dayton are the first ones out.

The travel budget would be insane. There's a lot more sports than basketball to consider.

no
they already get a ton of visibility.
Gonzaga doesn't need any help.
They're a household name.

But it's in eastern Washington.

ETA I had a fraternity brother whose father was always threatening to send him to Gonzaga if he didn't straighten up. He made it sound like a prison camp.

And the WCC includes St. Mary's and BYU, both of which are fairly good in their own right.

Plus the WCC is all private schools, the majority of which are Catholic like Gonzaga. So they're in a good spot.

While athletically and culture would be a fit... the travel costs would be insane, both financial and wear/tear of travel on player bodies.

Take an 18 game basketball schedule. 9 road games. Even if you broke that up into 3 trips of 3 games each, still a lot of travel. And if you did a trip of 4 and a trip of 5... 4/5 road games in a row puts a college team at an unfair advantage, not to mention, you are away from home for like 2 weeks, away from class, etc.
