Talking Heads complaining Heisman is a QB award. Concern?

I don't ever watch the Heisman Awards or the talk leading up to it so I don't know if this is normal but I have this year and they all keep complaining that the Heisman is a quarterback award, that it's a joke, there's too many voters, too many voters that don't know what they're doing and that they need to start awarding the most 'outstanding player' not just the best quarterback.
Out of all the years for them to try to buck that trend, this is not the year to do it but the talk is worrisome. Obviously, it would be absolutely outrageous if they didn't give it to Joe Burrow since he's setting all kinds of records and against the best competition but is this kind of talk normal for the Heisman award? I'm starting to get a little concerned that they're trying to shape the narrative to influence the voters and buck the trend and vote for a guy like, let's say Chase young, a defensive end instead of just the best quarterback.
They just gave a ton of other Awards to Joe and he's in the college football playoff so I could see them trying to level it out a little bit.
They were successful doing this kind of thing with the "complete team" bulshit to get Ohio State at the #1 spot for a while.

Relax, they've already voted.

I’m concerned...that Germany might win the first world war.

That has been a complaint for at least 50 years, so...

The talking heads have been complaining there are too many voters all week, but they all also said Joe should win and deserves it.

Well they aren’t wrong. Joe doesn’t have anything to worry about because it’s his, but defensive players are at a disadvantage to win the heismen. Voters don’t weigh their performance the same as someone scoring a lot of points.

LSU fans love to worry. Damn, the votes are already in.

Never heard them say that.
Rece has actually said a couple of times this morning that the real drama is whether or not Joe will win with the highest percentage of first place votes ever.
There was nothing worrisome about their conversation.

Not only is it a QB award, it has become the best QB on the best team award.

Lamar Jackson is a running back

Joe's not from one of their darling Red or Maroon schools, so they are in a hissy fit.

If LSU was sitting at 9-3 and everyone Joe’s stats was exactly the same or even better within reason, there’s a good chance he’s probably not even invited to NYC. It’s an award for typically reserved for the best player on the best team.

Then you need to pay attention and not try and twist 1 little point into the narrative you want, that they are all out to get you. They also discussed whether Burrow would get the most votes, ever, unlikely because the year OJ got the most votes there were 300-400 more voters or at least the biggest margin. How its a forgone conclusion. That Burrow would win. Never mind that as others pointed out the voting closed last week.
