Hit and run in Mandeville, 2 children injured

Not very descriptive... sounds like the girl will be ok but boy is in critical condition, driver still on the loose. Likely a local teen, hopefully will turn himself in this morning.
For those unfamiliar this is a very nice neighborhood, everyone who comes and goes has to have license swiped by security, should find them.

Some teenager on his phone. They will catch him shortly but, more likely, his parents will show up with a pricey lawyer at the detectives office.

Yes, he turned himself in this morning. Not his first go around unfortunately. Pray hard for those kids. I heard the 6 year old was airlifted and in critical condition.

Though lawyers can correct me but it might be easier to deal with a hit and run on your record than a DUI
