I'm sure it'll be nothing but maybe we will get some Zion news.

That’s definitely what this is. He’s getting some serious heat for the first time.

Fans are frustrated, and Griff definitely needs to do this.

I personally am not upset, because we've had tons of injuries in addition to Zion's (and Favors's absences are the ones we could least afford defensively), and we've had the NBA's #1 hardest schedule to date -- and it's been even tougher than we thought before the season, as teams like the Mavs and the Raptors have proven to be better than expected.

But, yes, reset expectations and let people know when they can expect to see Zion on the floor. Very glad that he's doing this.

He's going to fire Gentry on air and announce Zion is debuting in the third quarter. This place explodes.

He has to keep the fans optimistic for the future and tame expectations that were set for this year. Obviously he will address Zion but don’t count on him being anything but positive about Gentry and the current leadership on the team.

FTR: I’m totally okay w being super cautious w Zion. He needs to be healed and conditioned and in great shape before risking anything on the court for a losing team.

It’s also very plausible he can be looking studly in these private practices while we are being cautious. Fix his shot cause that shite was ugly. Zion shoots 80% from ft line and he’s a beast.

I’m actually less interested in hearing about Zion, as I still agree it’s wrong to put the burden of saving the team on the shoulders of a 19-year old rookie, particularly one coming off an injury.
I’m more interested to hear if he has any plans for the rest of the roster, his take on why we’ve struggled so badly to finish games and why all the offseason investment in injury prevention and player health maintenance has done zero to help us avoid injury bug.

It’s probably to promote his new book “Building a Mountain of Hype and Destroying it in Two Months”

Pre order tonight and get a special edition copy with a chapter written by the man who made it all possible, Alvin Gentry.

He said we struggle because schematically there is pressure on our bigs who are young and lack experience necessary for the role.

I think the coach should be able to adjust the game plan to suit but obviously he prefera asking Lonzo to be Steph and Hayes to be Mutumbo.

He must be talking about Melli and Okafor because Hayes is our best defensive big in the lineup right now.

Melli and okafor are worthless on D.

Melli is pretty bad most of the time. He doesn’t look up to speed with the NBA. He passes out of wide open shots because he doesn’t believe his release is quick enough

And while Hayes is improving, he is still a liability.
