claims he is my grandson and needs bail $$ because he was faulted in a car accident.
I have him on hold to get some pen and paper.
What do y'all want me to ask him?

9:31am UPDATE: he's off the line now. Thanks for the tips. To those reading this thread the first time, I had him on for a while and was partly doing as the O-T told me to.

I’d like to know how being in a car wreck made him go to jail

Say you're a little short, does he need his toothbrush?

Ask him if he has the wherewithal to win it all?

If you have all day, see how long you can keep this conversation going.

I'm caring for my 87 year old mom. Call went to her landline.

I'm sure you love him very much and want to help him if you possibly can. If you need a little bit of extra I'll be more than happy to pitch in. If you would just give me your name and social security number I'll get you some money.

Trying to. He's been told so far:
- having trouble finding paper
- three pens I tried to write with don't work
- spilled my coffee, be right back
He's hanging on diligently.

Ask how Uncle Charlie is doing, or just start tossing random names out....

Ok, I did...
he gave me his lawyer's name, phone, and case no.:
John Matthews
507 460 3395
Case #D55808
Note: he sounds a bit African (maybe Chad or Sudan), with a hint of Caribbean. Also either retarded or high. Or both.

Tell him you have money buried somewhere for just such an occasion
Give him some random coordinates or place. Talk the story up. Make it seem like a lot of money

When I get any calls like this I like to say hang on I need to go find my wallet/checkbook i'll be right back. Then I just set the phone down and go about my business and as long as I see they are still there waiting I'll say something like "I thought it was in the kitchen but maybe I left it in my car, hang on I'll be back in a minute".
