That was such bullshite.

Kind of off topic but didnt see anything about it

What was the deal with the LSU player on the opening kickoff. Looked like he just passed out? Any mention of it anywhere as to what happened?

I sure remember Auburn fans complaining about LSU players doing the same thing a few years ago.

If I were on defense and the offense is trying to quick play us, and I knew we were out of position, I’d do the same.

Guys. Quit with this. LSU does the same thing. I was at the Bama game 15 rows from the field. Right in front of me two LSU dlinemen went/stayed down after a play. They were both grabbing their legs as though they were hurt. Bama had already chosen to substitute, and when they saw that they both immediately got up. They faked for about two seconds.

Everyone does it!

I feel there needs to be some sort of punishment for something this blatant in order to prevent it. Keep the player out for the rest of that quarter and the following one, or if they can pin point the coach who directed them to do it, suspend them for the next game. Doing this is pure cheating and avoids having to call a time out.

It’s a little different when the player is involved with the tackle and may or may not be hurt. Everyone who played football knows that even if you’re not truly “hurt”, sometimes you don’t feel great after a tackle.

That was such a grotesque injury.

So hard to watch that again.

Do you know if there is a GoFundme account set up? I would like to contribute to help cover funeral expenses.

I am devastated that I enjoyed the game so much and this young man's family must be grieving.

I am almost leaning toward how hockey, baseball and basketball handle an injury.

Once the next play is set in motion (in football it would be the offense is set at the line), the injury doesn't stop play until an natural break which would be the whistle on completion of the play.

It is one thing if a player is down at the whistle but its crap when it happens after the offense breaks the huddle. Hell its a timeout without being charged a timeout.
