So just to get this thread rolling for real,

He has to be up there

Other in the competition would be LaRon Landry and Juston Vincent for sure.

But huge contributors on a championship

as good as he is he didn't come close to having the FR season TM7 had, and that's no slight to Stingley but just goes to show you how good TM7 actually was here

Tommy Hodson led the Tigers to an SEC championship in his freshman year. He was an impact player.

JV was the national championship mvp and PP7 was the best player on the 08 defense. Those two come to mind pretty quickly

I’d love to see him take a punt to the house in these next 3 games. He’s been a great cover corner for most of the year for sure. His confidence has lowered a bit receiving punts and I’d really like to see LSU work on something for him to score an easy ST’s TD in the SEC championship game and the semifinals.

We can certainly make a solid argument for DS since his absence from this year's secondary would have greatly hampered the defense that struggled often. The problem with that argument is that the best CBs rarely have stats that flaunt their dominance.

On the other hand, LF7 or a safety like TM7 who was allowed to roam and blitz, etc have those eye popping stats that elevate their memory above Island Corners who are often avoided by opponents offenses.

Adams and Delpit both played really well as freshman.

Frick no. Not by a long shot. Off the top of my head Tommy Hodson was our starting QB.
