"Injured" players sit for the rest of the series. If that doesn't stop it, make it the rest of the quarter or game.

You know, player safety and all that.

I like this ...not too punitive but would certainly cut down a good portion of the fake ones.

Being that all “series” aren’t created equal, might be a better idea to have a set # of plays you have to sit out... obviously more than the current 1 play...make it 3-4 plays.

Sit remainder of quarter or game will never happen...too harsh

This compromises player safety and is therefore unrealistic. Football won’t enact such a rule that compels players to play when injured.
