Why does College Football hate LSU

Considering our fans have the thinnest skin, they probably do it for fun.

We are not a media darling, therefore we will never get the built in excuses and preferential treatment that Bama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Texas, etc. get. We get some good press until such time that it looks like we might frick things up for the good ole boys. That’s when the narrative shifts and the media turns on us. We win and it’s still not enough. They try to devalue our accomplishments the first chance they get. I knew they’d turn on Burrow soon enough. It’s not enough to try to frick with our national title chances, but now they’re changing the Heisman narrative as well. I knew there would be a late push by the media for Chase Young.

We're in the SEC and not named Alabama. If you're treated like a redheaded stepchild by the Conference, the rest of the Country seems to have followed.

We haven't helped either. It's a cultural thing. Hell, North Louisiana cant stand South Louisiana.

BS! What difference does it make as long as we get into the playoffs. No one knows which teams will be the most difficult. If we play our best we should be able to beat any of them.
Who knows at this point.
We were a two loss team the last time we won the championship.

This Fanbase is full of crybabies

Even though you only have 29 posts and are possibly a troll, I'll answer by saying that LSU is getting lots of respect. We might not get some of the benefit of the "blue bloods" of CFB but most of the national media is loving them some LSU right now.

Everyone freaking out over us dropping to #2 needs to chill out. Over the past decade we would have loved the chance to just make the top 4 and now that we have enjoyed the top spot for a few weeks, some feel entitled. Stop acting like Bama fans.

LSU controls its own destiny and college football does not hate LSU. If we win out we will be ranked #1 when it matters most.

Every fanbase has people like you, pipedream, people who think the refs, or the league, are out to get their team. It’s a manifestation of self-absorption. It doesn’t matter what team you rooted for you’d feel the same.

I just watched the documentary Sunderland Till I Die, about an English soccer team. I was struck by how much some of their fans thought the refs were bought and paid for, and the league(s) was/were out to get them. Same shite.

I went to the Bama game, and overheard Bama fans complaining that the selection committee was out to get them.
