Obama’s judge rule McGhan must testify before Congress

The ruling Monday by U.S. District Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson is a major victory for House Democrats, who have faced resistance from the White House using the same "absolute immunity" argument to stymie McGahn from testifying to prevent other former officials from speaking out against President Trump in the impeachment case.

If he wants, now he can testify. Same thing with Bolton.

This will be appealed.
You guys need to learn about how these court cases work.
It will be caught in for months with appeals.
This Particular judge has had ALL her previous rulings overturned on appeal

Chief Justice Roberts thinks this is pure coincidence.

I know it will be appealed, but if McGhan really want to testify, he can do it now before the appeal.

The administration would get an emergency stay if that were to happen.

So in this judges eyes there isn't attorney client privilege? Or no executive privilege?

The last thing the Democrats want is Don McGahn to testify.....plus as White House Counsel there are things he did in aan attorney / client capacity for the office of the President that he is precluded from disclosing if he wants to keep his law license
He is allowed to say " Ok, but if you do that it would be illegal" and if his client follows the advice, both attorney and client are in the clear, forget intent.

Somehow I knew this one judges opinion was not the final opinion. In the bigger scheme, the legislative branch is working to diminish the power of the executive branch. These sorts of cases are going up the line and will likely make it to the Supremes as a separation of power issue. This stuff is not insignificant. And all these black robes went to law school. What is taught in law school?
