well.

i currently drive(and love) a p100d tesla suv...
..but i just placed a deposit on their new cybertruck.
(and patiently waiting to deploy SpaceX's Starlink on my boat)

"long term" might be best defined by the individual..
...but tesla is a company i'd have no qualms holding for a while.
if nothing else..musk innovate and take the risks others arent always so willing to take.

I’m in the business of supplying a material for LI-Ion battery production. The growth of Li-Ion batteries vis a vis EVs are double digits. Ride the wave.

Tesla is about to be trying to market a several year old design up against the brand new offerings of Porsche, MB, and BMW.

For example the Taycan will be a bit stiffer competition than the Prius and Volt.

Based off the new truck design, I would sell quickly.

well.
as a (loyal) customer of tesla... i am not exactly sure how they run a profit.
(they seem never charge for any services they provide)

i do not personally own the stock... and it is probably another 4+ more quarters of healthy earnings before i even see it in my screens...

but as a consumer..
if they can keep those specs for that price.. that truck will be my next EV.

but hey..
if $100 puts a dent in one's personal budget...i do believe it is fully refundable.

Oh damn okay. I'm glad it's not like the Roadster, I think that deposit was $10k.

I'm very skeptical of this. But hey, the guy has survived for 3ish years without collapsing the company who knows.

You're the "NO DEMAND AND NO RESALE VALUE" guy for Tesla, that hasn't worked out for you at all

Think it's probably a bit over priced in the short term. But I also have a model 3 and am hyped about an electric car future. It's been awesome.

Too bad about the Cybertruck looks though. That's gonna be a hard sale to truck owners.

You’re responding to the wrong person. I’ve owned Tesla stock for years now and have never bought at current levels

Most are prob the first two models. I ordered the tri motor so hopefully I get that one soon after they start deliveries

very interesting video on the "looks" of truck from $tsla.

if this thing is successful in cracking the truck market... making that design might be one of the more genius moves in automotive history
