Soup , Fried Crow, Smothered Crow and every other way you can fix it.

I thought O was a bad hire. I hated it. I talked a lot of shite about the Man and the hire. He is doing a helluva job and I’m proud of Coach O and LSU.

Dude, we are all eating it. No one believed he could ever beat Saban after that Troy loss.

I was dead wrong. This season has been almost as much fun as the 2011 season to this point.

Good on you.

I have a buddy who still want give O any credit. Says he is lucky to have Bill Busch and because of Busch we have Burrow.

And the only reason we have Burrow is because we undersigned two years ago and only had 24 signees thus we could take Burrow. And lucky for O his biggest competition for Burrow was Cincy.

He blames O for the poor defensive performances and gives all credit to Ensminger and Braday for the offensive performances.

He still continues to spin everything negative about O. It's infuriating that he won't give credit where credit is due.

ETA: He calls him, and I quote, "A shite for brains shrimp boat captain."

I'll take a bite.

I thought he was going to be abysmal after the mishandling/mis-hire / whatever of the Canada OC deal.

He has done a good job of getting good coaches in place and he has always been a great recruiter.

Happy for him, happy for LSU and happy for us fans that he is succeeding at a very high level.

Now pass the tabasco, this crow's gonna need some pop!!

Right there with you man. O surprised the hell out of me. I hoped he would succeed, but this has exceeded my most optimistic expectations

Now you can be as vigorous to support O as you were in criticizing him. That’s you penance.

We have higher goals, but here's something pretty cool in the meantime. Once we roast some hog Saturday we will have officially won the SEC West regardless of the A&M outcome and punched our ticket to the SECCG. First time since 2011.

At worst O was a risky hire, however there weren't many better options at the time. I wanted Herman, and I stand by that. He looked more promising at the time than O. But I won't say I was disappointed with the hire. I just hoped he'd do well, and he has, and I'm happy for him.

ED THE UNIFIER
He reconciled the entire fan base after years of discord.
Who would have thunk it ?
Time to reflect on the meaning of this.

I think that what the last two hires, Coach O and Will Wade, have shown is that you need a hungry coach who is highly motivated and not just in it for the money. Coach O wanted to be a part of Louisiana again, prove he could be a head coach again and wipe out the memory of the Ole Miss years. He has given us his strengths, motivation and recruiting, while deferring his ego for his coordinators.

Coach Wade was a young coach who had a lot to prove. He was different because he hadn't played his sport in college. He brought a knowledge of all the new techniques and using stats to analyze his team and their play. We won't get into the controversy but he has also brought in good recruits. He has proven to be a tireless worker who won't accept mediocrity for himself or his teams. His gameday prowness is under fire but he manages to get his team through adversity and finds a way to win.

Both hires have proved that in these times, you don't need the proven older coach who may be riding on his past success and not be hungry anymore. Just because someone doesn't know your name or you haven't had success in the past, doesn't mean you can't still be the right hire in the right place.
