That's like, totally overdramatical.

What do you think would happen when the Alabama team doctor tells the coaches "we should let this kid heal a few more weeks" They get a new doctor. That's what happens when millions and millions of dollars are at stake.

Bullschite .... you obviously do not know sports medicine. Without looking, can you name the Alabama team physician ? The dude just happens to be the most well respected name in ALL of sports injuries and surgery.

FYI - if Dr. James Andrews said Tua’s ankle is not 100% healed and he should not play, Alabama / Saban would not have gone against medical advice and let him play. I can promise you Alabama is not firing James Andrews for being honest and protecting a kids safety. If Andrews lies about an injury or player’s medical release to benefit a University, he will get served with a medical malpractice lawsuit and lose major credibility.

Glad to see someone with some common sense

It is comical these hot takes. They honestly don't care about Tua at all. They just have some pent up frustration with Saban and Alabama.

Tua was medically cleared by the team doctor to play.

I’m not blaming Saban Ot agreeing with the OP, but trusting the team doctor is not something I would do.

I've always wondered if the rumors were true that no one in the athletic building was allowed to even say hello to him. That sounds preposterous, but you never know. Some people are truly that arrogant and narcissistic.

All the people bitching and crying about Saban letting Tua play are the same ones the bitched, cried, and said Fournette quit on the team a few years ago when he had a hurt ankle.

And let’s not forget everyone who criticized greedy Williams for sitting out of a bowl game so he wouldn’t get hurt

This is all very true. You can't have one without the other. Good points.

Common sense is hiring your own doctor. I don’t care how respected someone is.

I’m probably wrong, but I’m skeptical, cynical and not trusting.

I’d say the same thing if it was an LSU player.

Lawsuit could be filed as soon as this week, I wonder if Tua talks about “the system” in the depositions

Dr James Andrews is only one of the most respected orthopedic doctors in the world.

Also if you didn't notice they are talking with other doctors even moving him to Houston to be under the care of another orthopedic specialist.

It's not like one guy comes in and says, yep you can play.

bullshite.

Most people don't know or care who this doctor is. It was Saban's decision to play him and it's Saban's responsibility. Period.

Saban doesn’t say “yes you can play” he says “you are going to play” or be processed

The doctor makes the decision whether he medically cleared to play or not. Saban only decides if he plays if he is cleared by the doctors.

You might be surprised how well known Dr James Andrews is, you should try looking him up.

Well, rumors are just that...rumors.

Or you're lying, which is what I'm leaning towards.

Now? Not relevant to my point of being personally distrusting if someone part of or employed by the system.

Saban decides if he plays or not. at the idea that anyone else makes that call.
