Anyone see the shot to Joe’s head on his 2nd INT?

I’m still thinking about this.
No way his second INT should’ve counted.

I saw it thought it was a cheap shot but it wasn't called

That’s my point. It should’ve been called. It was obvious and right in front of the white hat

Saw it and commented about it when it happened.

After the hit to Joe's head the SEC will suspend Devin White for the first half of his next NFL game.

Absolutely. Slapped his helmet hard as he was throwing. It turned Joe's head a 1/4 turn.

Blatant. Should have been flagged without a doubt!

Joe took two hits that seemed like they could have been flagged. That was one of them.

The INT wouldn't have counted, but I don't believe the hit was why it was picked off. It was simply a misread. It happens.

Well, it counts, but he did get hit. (NVM - I get your point, if it was an illegal hit it would have been a penalty.)

He also get hit a little late on one play (close, but I think it was late), but was also picked up and driven into the ground on his throwing shoulder in front of 2 refs - no call.

frick Ole Miss. I wish we would have gotten into the 70s on them.

Yes - that was definitely a cheap shot - a couple of other unnecessary roughness calls were missed. Deliberately trying to injure a player once there is no reason to continue aggressive behavior should be penalized heavily - i.e. Burrow is hit as he releases the pass - aggressive shoulder pad to the chest (no problem with this) - But then continue to carry him an additional step and slam him into the ground with all your weight a momentum.

Only possible excuse is that the tackler didn't know if he had released the ball or not and was hoping to cause a funble - BUT - the "ground cannot cause a fumble" - would that not apply to this situation?

I saw Burrow get hit late and then body slammed right in front of an official and yet, no penalty.

Here's what people are missing: Both INT's occurred due to pressure which also occurred because our starting OT's are out. With Deculus, it's an injury so you can't help that, but Charles being suspended for selfishness is the kind of thing that can wreck a season.

Thankfully Joe isn't as big a pussy as you.

He knows he fricked up on that INT. No need to gloss over it.

Hit to the head happened at the 11:20 mark in the 4Q. Pretty sure #97 was the guilty party as the ref missed it. That call has been made before

YES! Not sure how the refs missed that! Not even a replay from shoddy ESPN

Yeah. He got lit up way late on a play earlier in the game. No comment from the announcers.

I also agree that Joe just blew the read. It happens, even to great QBs. If Chase doesn’t fall down, maybe he prevents the pick, but it was a poor throw into coverage.

Here’s a small silver lining from last night- Ole Miss is actually second in the SEC in sacks. They blitz a lot and have been getting pressure all year. They can’t stop the run and have a poor secondary and that’s why they still struggle.

Anyway, if we were able to survive them throwing guys at the line all night with 3 guys down and then Lewis down for part of the 2nd half, then we should be ok going forward. We just need all of these guys to get right and the suspensions to FINALLY run out.
