Had a truck stolen a few years ago. I was out of town for work and someone hopped a locked gate at work, hot wired it and crashed it thru the fence. I was set to go pick up my insurance check a few weeks later and the police called the night before and said it was found at a towing yard. It had been ditched at a truck stop.
I pondered my options and decided to go collect the check and just forget the cops called. I had Liberty Mutual and they took very good care of me! They checked around and got what an average cost was to replace my exact truck and even paid me TT&L. I had also put new tires on it the month before and had the receipt. They paid me for the tires.

Yes.
State Farm says they will pay claim in 30 days (as they hope for a recovery.)
I went and bought a car after a week.
Sherriff found car on Day 28. Insurance paid for light repairs on car. Then I sold it.
FWIW, stolen from the hotel on corner of Williams and Vets, 1992. Car was an '88 Mustang 5.0

Had one stolen from the front of my house many years ago. Sheriff's office found it abandoned before I even knew it was gone. Luckily, I only had to replace the door lock and the ignition switch.

Yes, several including a new truck.....
Never mind, I misread your question. Thought you were asking if...never mind.

once when I was 17 or 18. parked my 84 Sierra in the driveway. Woke up next morning and it was gone.
When they arrested the guy he said that he was hiding in the bushes and apparently I walked within 3 ft of him. He mentioned a kid coming home. kinda creepy feeling.

My new truck was stolen last night. Curious how other people have turned out in the situation.
I had a car stolen from the dealership while it was in there for scheduled maintenance. NOPD stopped it in the St Bernard project about 9 months later when they apprehended some perps, they called and told me I could go get it if I wanted.

Well some local frick ups, took it, used it to go and break into other peoples shite. Then when they were done, stripped all my stereo stuff out, then took it to the gas station. Took the two dollars in cash out of my wallet to spray $2 worth of gas into the inside. Lit it on fire in a coulee right down the street from my house.

Cops called me, I walked outside and could see the smoke plumes from my front yard. Cops had them arrested by noon. They were caught on camera at the gas staion spraying the gas into my car.

Friend of mine had hers stolen in Jackson. They broke into her apartment, hid till she went to sleep, then grabbed her purse and went out and stole the car. Insurance didn't pay until after 30 days. After they paid, the car was found being used in a bank robbery. Still had the Ole Miss KD sticker on it.
She's lucky they didn't mess with her in apartment.

I had a car that I wish would be stolen or would catch fire.
