This is reality. Anyone trying to convince themselves we wouldn't steamroll the PAC12 as if that means something is just lying to themselves out of fear.

The problem is this applies (and has applied) to more teams than just Alabama.
If Alabama takes up one of the four playoff spots every year you all but eliminate the possibility of anyone proving the thesis wrong.
If the Big 12 or PAC 12 champion can’t get in with one loss, you intrinsically cheapen their seasons and distort competition of a team basically gives up after a loss.
This is a playoff problem more than an Alabama problem if you ask me. If Clemson drops a game, they will get in and they play in the (likely) worst conference.
