Is LSU losing the conference championship game to Georgia the best case scenario for keeping Alabama out of the playoff?

A 1 loss SEC champ Georgia is in.

I would assume a 1 loss LSU who loses in the conference championship game but has road wins over Alabama and Texas and home wins against Florida and Auburn, is in.

Based on SOS, I would think even a 1 loss Ohio State would get in ahead of Alabama.

A Clemson loss could muddy the waters but I just don't see where the committee will put 3 SEC teams in the Playoff.

Alabama is not going to the playoffs over ANY 1 loss power 5 champion.

Screw any of that stuff. LSU just needs to win out and deal with the results of that, anything else is to dangerous.

I'd much prefer to worry about LSU getting in the playoffs, rather than keeping Bama out. Just win the damn games. If they get in, we'll play them again on a neutral field.

and the Bama obsession continues...

God, this is getting so tiresome.

We just had the best win in 8 years, and we're still obsessing over the team we beat.

LET. IT. GO.

We all know Bama will win out and the committee will vote them in. No need to fear a rematch. They cannot stop this offense and if it wasnt for 3 fluke TDs and our D giving up 6 3rd and 20s we would’ve won by a mile!!

Yeah dude. Let's just not even show up and forfeit the game, just to keep Bama out.

Holy Christ on a cracker. Some of you people....

No Auburn beating them is best case scenario!

LSU doesn't need to lose anything, period! Plus with losing SEC champ game we might be left out as well.

Honestly, I'd love to beat them twice in one season and watch all their recruits line up at Coach O's door begging to play for us

if UGA beats Auburn i think there is no way Bama gets in...Bama's best win would come on a 4 lost Auburn team...There are many schools with better wins than this...

LSU OSU Clemson are locked...(obviously if they win out)

Baylor wins this weekend and loses conf championship still has the win over OU...other way around OU has a win against undefeated Baylor and Conf Championship

Utah and Oregon play each other in conf championship...you can make an argument for either team here...

we need to pull for UGA to beat Auburn to minimize the impact of the game for Bama even though i think they will have a hard enough time beating Auburn regardless

I would too but with that schedule, they just don't deserve to be there.

These threads look desperate and weak.
Take a page from Joe Burrow. Fear nothing.

to my knowledge, the SECCG loser (nor any other conference loser) has ever made the playoffs. that loser seems to go to the Sugar Bowl.

it sucks that the one loss team THAT DID NOT WIN THEIR DIVISION has a better chance to make the playoff than the loser of that game AND WON THEIR DIVISION.

well that would mean the committee would shaft a probable 1-loss Pac 12 champ and a 1-loss Big 12 champ.

There's no way on god's green earth that's going to happen.

Come on man. Look at the crazy media push the gumps are getting right now. Imagine the media push the gumps would get if LSU lost a game. LSU needs to win out and let the chips fall where they may.

I really don’t care who gets in this year as long as LSU is in. I do think you need to play in your conference championship game at the very least.

Ohio State is really the only team that worries me. Clemson and Oklahoma worry me more than Bama but I think LSU beats those teams.
