The government of Mexico filed an amicus (or “friend of the court”) brief urging the Supreme Court to stop President Donald Trump’s attempt to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

The Mexican government is urging the Supreme Court to protect the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, telling the justices that supporting DACA recipients is an important goal of Mexican foreign policy.
The justices will hear arguments over President Donald Trump’s bid to terminate DACA on Tuesday. Mexico filed an amicus (or “friend of the court”) brief in the case, saying it has a “legitimate, substantial and compelling interest to protect the rights of its citizens.”

The brief offers an array of policy-based justifications for maintaining DACA. For example, the Mexican government noted that DACA helps its nationals and their U.S.-born children access needed social services.
“DACA recipients are over 12% more likely to ensure that their U.S. citizen children access resources to which U.S. citizens are entitled, such as the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), than parents without DACA protections,” the brief reads, citing a Johns Hopkins study. “WIC is considered one of the most successful anti-poverty programs for children in the United States.”

I thought that these were bright, educated, crime-free kids. Wouldn't it be a blessing for Mexico to have an influx of these types of people?

A President can either rescind a prior EO of a previous President, or he cannot.
The President can either make immutable law, or he cannot.
That's as simple as it gets.

Why is a foreign government openly interfering with our domestic policy agenda?

Mexico’s House of Representatives should start a secret investigation into their el presidentes meddling in USA affairs.
Inpeach el presidente.
Inpeach el presidente.

We'll protect DACA when the rid their country of Cartel terrorism.
In other words, never. Mexico deserves no say in our policies affecting us.

This. I can't wait to see Roberts reasoning if he keeps it in place.

Ok, so you admit they are citizens of Mexico. So Mexico and not the United States should be responsible for their welfare

I can't wait to hear what argument Roberts comes up with to argue 2+2=5.

Roberts should and deserves to be impeached and removed from the Court if he seriously tries to argue that presidents cannot overturn executive orders of a previous president.
That argument is a serious and unacceptable breach of the separation of powers.

Here is a pdf of the brief. You guys should read it, so you can formulate your own opinion and not rely on other's to formulate it for you.

I especially love this part:

He's probably going to argue it more narrowly. Something about removing DACA violates title IX or something convoluted that the plaintiff doesn't even argue, but he invents to come up with a reason.

If our supreme court gives any weight to another country's foreign policy, particularly to the point of propagating an unacceptable breach of the separation of powers, then those justices who sign on to a majority or dissenting opinion saying so needs to be impeached and removed from the court.

So in seven years Mexico has spent less than 1/10 what USA spends on Illegals per year?
