The 49ers schedule is about to get brutal. They have not played the Seahawks yet and still have to play GB and Baltimore.

Should we be worried about them come playoffs if it works out that both teams are healthy? Can we put 30+ on the defense?

you have to respect a team with a running game and a strong defense

almost all of our losses in the playoffs w/Sean + Drew were to teams that could do those 2 things

we aren't head and shoulders better than the league and on any day someone can come and knock you off.

However I am not worried about anybody. Saints can beat any team in the league and I will take my chances all day with our boys.

The Cardinals just averaged 7 yards per carry on them. Their offense is also built on a running game. We are good at running the football and stopping the run. I honestly feel much better about playing them after watching that game last night.

49ers should be worried about the Saints.

Won 5 games against tough defenses w/o Brees

what schedule were you looking at because the next 6 games are 3 easy wins with hawks and ravens the only two competitive teams they have to play other then the saints.

i put the odds at 50/50 with the hawks and ravens games and they lose to us

Define worried? Do I think we will win and should be favored, yes, but they aren't the Dolphins or Bengals you have to respect them. When the season is down to one game at a time, anything can happen.

Seahawks, Cardinals, Packers, Ravens, Saints, Falcons, Rams, Seahawks is not exactly an easy run in. One or two injuries and they could drop 5 games. I really don't know how they finish better than 13-3.

They’re down one of their most important and least replaceable defenders now. Kwon out for the season.

yeah... losing the former Tiger is going to seriously hurt their defense

they're still going to be a good D... but Alexander's absence is going to sting for a long time

If we're healthy by this game, we should destroy them. Their strengths play to our strengths. The difference - we have an offense with plenty of capable weapons backed by the best defense they'll face on the road.

Most of us thought we were going to struggle (me included) vs Chicago on the road because of their defense... expect this game to be our 2009 Pats game. Statement game to get mfs ready for us come playoff time.

I'll say it again, us and them are on a collision course at the end of the year.

Although, they do still have to play the Seahawks twice, NO, GB, and Rams again.

I don't think they come out of that with an unscathed record.

In a way it is good. It's like when the Vikings kept the heat on us for the first 15 games of the '09 season. Saints are having a great season, but still cannot afford to drop any games.

49ers are about to pull a classic Chiefs move and tank the second half of the season

Realistically yes anybody can win in the playoffs any given day and all that, BUT:

Watching them play the same exact team as us, one week later, our game was over by the 3rd quarter and their game against the Cards was dangerously close -- the Niners could have imploded there at the end, or the Cardinals could have made one final surge, but they didn't.

The Niners made just enough plays to put the game away against the Cards, on really the last drive, whereas we were subbing our 2nd string QB for a big huge chunk of garbage time in the 4th quarter and we literally BROKE the Cardinals' will before the 4th quarter had even started. I think the Saints are a better team but put it this way -- the Niners/Saints game, I won't be TOO upset if the Saints lose that one, because we may end up facing them again, at the end of the year, and it's usually thought to be harder to beat a team the second time or twice in the same year.

Yes, just like they should be worried about us and GB.

It's us three... and everyone else is a level or two below us.
