The "coup" you are referencing is being conducted by the House of Representatives which has essentially plenary power over impeachment. There is no other body, elected or otherwise, that can tell the House whether to impeach. Fortunately, James Madison was a smart little fellow so there are significant checks on the House, especially the 2/3 Senate vote required to convict. The only things "we" can do is express our displeasure by petitioning for the redress of our grievances and voting our representatives out of office. So, if you think about it, it's not a "coup" at all, so much as it is a misguided but constitutional exercise of raw political power.
It’s a coup because it’s just a continuation of the failed coup by the Obama administration/deep state/intelligence community.
They couldn’t get it done illegally so now they’re trying to hide behind a hoax impeachment that has no underlying crime.
But it seems that we all have to play along especially since they haven’t even attempted to vote on impeachment only on impeachment “proceedings”. They know it will fail in the senate so they’re holding out for political theatre in the hopes of influencing the ignorant and along the way try to concoct a crime.

They haven’t impeached him yet and are investigating. Look I don’t like the process either and I think this whole thing is BS but it isn’t a coup.

Yes. Impeachment is the house’s responsibility and is in the constitution.
quote:
The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.
Yes Congress has the ability to impeach, but there was no treason, bribery, or any other high crime or misdemeanor.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said Thursday there was no blackmail involved during a telephone call with President Donald Trump that has since set in motion an impeachment inquiry.
1. We have the transcript of the call. There was nothing improper or illegal in it.
2. The two men that actually took part in the phone call have both said that was no blackmail, pressure, or quid pro quo in the f**king call. It doesn't matter if anyone else (i.e. the whistleblower that used to work with Joe Biden) thinks that there was because the Ukrainian president is publicly saying that he was not blackmailed.

Calling it a coup is fricking stupid
No the only thing that is fricking stupid are the people that cannot see that the democrats and the deep state are basically making shite up.
FWIW, I communicated with my friends that live in Ukraine and they all think that this is the dumbest shite in the world since Ukraine (aka the victim of said blackmail) say there was no blackmail. They also said that everyone in Ukraine knew that PP fired the prosecutor because Joe told him to. The reason that they know that is because even in Ukraine people have all seen video of Biden bragging about getting the prosecutor fired 52:10 - 53:05
If it anyone is guilty of bribery, it is Joe Biden.

Imagine the howls if this had been done to Obama.

It would be stupid if this was really just an inquiry to see if a president did something wrong. It
But that's not what happened. They attempted to engineer crimes they could pin on him, using the DOJ and the intel community, before he was even elected. They lied so they could spy on him, they falsified FBI forms after interviews, they blackmailed his associates to (presumably) try to get them to make claims about the president so they could overturn the election.
That may not be a coup but it's damn sure a coup attempt.

1. What the house did is legal.
2. This is what happens when stupid people elect criminals to congress. Stalin would be proud.
3. Just because part of the coup is legal doesn't mean that it isn't a coup.
4. Be happy, this peach is going nowhere. We all know it. So why is it happeninv then? Because desperate people do desperte things. They have no choice but to throw this Hail Mary! This is all a sign that not only are the good guys winning, but are on the verg of sealing the deal. The democrat party is about to be irrelevant.

Why do you all keep saying this stupid shite? on the very face of the document it says:
quote:
CAUTION: A Memorandum of a Telephone Conversation.· (TELCON) is not a verbatim transcript of a discussion. The text in this document records the notes and recollections of Situation Room Duty "Officers and-NSC policy staff assigned to listen and memorialize the conversation in written form as the conversation takes place. A number of factors can affect 'the accuracy of the record ...
It isn't a transcript and no matter how many times you idiots say it is, it isn't. The document itself it says that it is not a transcript.

You’re right.
There was no spy gate. No “insurance policy”. No Fake Russia hoax investigation.
Now there’s definitely not a continuing coup attempt hiding behind a hoax impeachment.

This is happening so:
a) when the IG report is released and DOJ indictments follow they can be spun as retribution
b) the hope that Trump overreacts and does something that can be impeachable

The timing of this is obvious once one realizes the draft IG report has been floating around DC since June/July.
This attempted coup is absurd on its face.
