There's a GIANT gap between the older half of Gen Y (millennials) and Gen Z. We kinda had the best of all worlds.
Grew up listening to some good music (my music taste verifies that) that our parents raised us with along with their values, but also got to expand our minds with the advent and maturization of the internet. We remember life before cell phones but also know how to ace technology.
It's a "best of both worlds" situation.

Yeah we had to write book reports by going to the library. They were still making up rules to cite internet articles or stuff from the encyclopedia Britannica disk. We died of dysentery on Oregon trail at age 8. It was traumatizing

I'd be curious to see the career, political, and education breakdown statistics between the upper half of Gen Y vs. the lower half and Gen Z.
I'd be willing to bet we have much more viable careers and IQs vs. them and probably lean mostly conservative. I'm talking about the people that are 28-35 currently, because we've seen a crazy amount of change in technology, arts, worldview, and social mindset in our relatively short lifetimes.
