I genuinely hope that doesn't happen.

It won’t happen. Everyone who says “trade him” assumes Drew won’t be injured again. If God forbid that happened, Teddy still gives us a chance to win the Super Bowl. Management ain’t trading Teddy.

Didn’t need Brees taking any more snaps on that thumb either.

Does anyone know of any team looking for a QB that they will start maybe 5 games for them and then leave via free agency? Who is this mythical team?

Why do you people keep posting this stuff?

He is on a one year deal. Absolutely very easy to trade him. I am not advocating it unless it is for a 1st rounder or top wide receiver.

That was my feeling. Play drew in our easiest game on the schedule as a dry run. See how he fares. He has an extra week to recover.

Trade deadline is Tuesday I think. So they wanted to see if Drew was back enough to trade Teddy

If they trade him it better be on draft day to move up to get Burrow

Two things that aren't happening:

1) Saints are not trading Bridgewater at the deadline; and

2) Saints aren't drafting Burrow.

Bridgwater will go somewhere to start for another team in free agency. Saints will pick up another decent backup so that Hill can remain a part of the offense. Payton is still eyeing Hill as the long-term successor to Brees unless they manage to draft some miracle QB at the spots they pick in the draft.

Yeah. Why would we want one of the best QBs in the country and possibly the most accurate ever to learn under Brees and Payton. How ridiculous.

Brees is only 30 years old right?

So if burrow is a top qb in the country, a team is going to trade a top 5 pick to us for teddy bridgwater? Esp when they could have just signed him in the offseason prior to the draft since HE'S A FREE AGENT. Once again full of tards

Can’t trade him after the year he’s a FA.

He’s only got value to us for 2 more days.

Compensatory draft picks are never kind to the Saints so I doubt we could get the 3rd rounder for losing him this summer.

He’s probably worth more to trade.

That’s why I think today was the farewell. The locker room will be pissed so they give him a nice send off
