Alabama Students Defy Atheist Orgs. Threats, Recite Lord's Prayer Before Game

When the Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), Alabama, forced their school district to replace its traditional pregame prayer with a moment of silence, a group of students from Opelika High School in Alabama rose up and recited the Lord’s Prayer in a moment of holy defiance.

Question: Why do some atheists expend sooo much effort, time and money hating something that they believe doesn't exist? Why do they want to force their unbelief on others?
Proud of these students who are willing to stand up for their rights.

GOOD!
the atheists!
For a very small faction that pretends to “not believe” in something they sure in the hell do make a big deal about that “something they don’t believe in”. Attention / #metoo whores.

FFRF is basically the atheist equivalent of the WestBoro Baptist Church. They're simply a bunch of real life trolls and should be treated with the same amount of seriousness.

Frick that district for allowing a small group of non believers to push their agenda on the majority

Those jackasses came after Tennessee.
Our chancellor told them in a very nice way to STFU and go away.

Since you favor outright religion in schools, you have no problem with this, right?

I think both actions are wrong. I am amzed the supreme court said this action in Maryland can go on.

How is students voluntarily participating in a pre game prayer "outright religion in schools"? Especially after school hours. What point are you trying to make?

I find those things inherently unvoluntary, or put another way, voluntary on paper, peer pressure mandatory in practice.

Being forced to write a prayer is not the same as prayer before a game and you know it. You know what would happen if you didn’t pray while everyone else did? Nothing. Because no one cares what you do.

Do you people really sit and think about people praying before a football game and get mad about it. You and your ilk are some miserable fricks.

Just so you know, there are a lot of atheists (myself included) who do not agree with the FFRF or their tactics. Unfortunately the very vocal minority tends to get all the attention (as is quite frequently the case.) Most of us would just stand quietly and not participate, no big deal. Not my belief, but you do you.

Tigerdroppings desperately needs a Religion Board. I would ask many questions on that board that I just can’t ask on the OT or here. Why not try it and see how it goes? If the admins don’t like it, then kill the board.

I have been advocating for a Religion/Philosophy Board for years. The powers that be have decided that it's okay to objectify women in very graphic detail, but try and have a civil conversation about the Trinity and all of a sudden the thread is either deleted or anchored.

No one is forcing them to pray aor even attend the game.
Again, how is a voluntary prayer before a game "outright religion in schools"? Same question.

That's because you're an ignorant little turd with zero understanding of the legal underpinnings in play here. Typical of you and those like you though.

He’s right though. It really is peer pressured/bullied. My high school football team liked to pray “voluntarily”
If you wanted the the hot chicks and not get bullied by 6’6” 265 lb linemen, you better shut those eyes and bow that head. Lol You’d get ostracized as frick for not assimilating.
