In a situation like this, even if the story is FALSE, I don’t know if the teacher should even want to return to the same school. They will never be looked at the same. Everyone will always think “he did it”, regardless of what the media and police say.

Meh, if false they would move the teacher to another position within the system such as curriculum coordinator or something

If the rumor is true, and it was a male teacher and a male student, he is obviously guilty and should be punished beyond the full extent of the law.
Also, was the student not really gay and just got sucked into a bad situation?
